As the subject line says, car was shipped straight over from Japan. Currently, there are just under 17800km on the car. Car has the wonderfully rare Championship White paint on it, looks spiffy if I do say so myself.
Seats are from the Type-S, shift knob is a relatively generic shift knob (not the jdm one), there are no back seats and no passanger side airbag Otherwise everything else is as it was in Japan. Also has a Mugen front strut bar, and has the cut out for a rear strut bar, but no rear strut bar..
Originally the car was bought from auction in Japan, and has since been shown in Import TUner (I think it was March of 03 with an Airwalker body kit) This car is not registered to drive here in the US, however the process is relatively simple depending on the state you're located in. Couple dings on the body (will be shown in pictures) which were damaged in shipping.
Pictures to follow later. Asking 23k, am open to offers, preferably cash. I will ship the car to wherever (buyer's expense), but will not drive it anywhere except to the local starbucks for delivery. If you wish to pick up the car, that's fine, but you will drive it unregistered at your own risk =P.
Otherwise PM me with questions, offers, concerns, death threats, and proposals =P

Is this car even regesterable?
StaticX27
05-03-2005, 08:24 AM
yes...
Engine will pass smog, thats the biggie. And we've had a couple shops smog the engine.. it WILL pass CA state standards regarding emissions, and CA is the most anal about emissions. i don't know about other states though as far as the standards there. As far as I can see, the car is DOT legal with the exception of the lack of a passanger side air bag and maybe the front and rear bumper. For the front and rear, borrow a friend's RSX's front and rear bumper, and take that to town. It'll pass inspection (paint won't match, but who cares), then just swap em back.
Rule of thumb, if it can pass CA standards, it can pass anywhere, since I think CA has the most rigid standards out of the states.

damn...... this is a hella deal.. i might have to come to cali...... also, im from florida and they don't do emissions and crap like that... how much would it cost to get it legal??????
StaticX27
05-03-2005, 04:51 PM
For the most part, its already legal... in which case it'll just cost you like 40 bucks for the inspection to get approval, then registration cost... which is basically whatever the declared value is (23000 in this case)... And I am willing to be a little shady and give you a seperate receipt with like a 12k value, so you save a bit on registration, as long as my copy reflects reality =D

nice... ummm. let me see what i can come up with.. cause in florida... i don't need an inspection.... :).....

StaticX27
05-07-2005, 04:59 PM
Price drop to 22k OBO =P
that car won't be legal until the bumpers are converted to US specs, the exhaust is changed to US specs, and its registered with the port authority ($$$).
It needs a VIN . . . . that's a pain in the ass too.

Read your state laws regarding restored vehicles and kit cars...
Because it was never signed in through customs, thats the route you go through.... It differs from the normal import laws because you need brake and light inspection. Headlights are just fine.. and the brakes are brembo brakes... I hope they would pass =P..
Exhaust is fine too I believe, and bumper.. well.. yea. Though sometimes you get an inspector that assumes its the same as the US RSX, and won't even check =P

BTW.. There will be a finder's fee if someone finds me a buyer =)
Ranging from 2%-5% depending on the final sale price. You sell for more, you get more, simple as that =)

the hard thing about sellilng this car may be finding serious buyers as some people might just want to see the car, all those VTEC fanatics.
StaticX27
06-12-2005, 12:26 PM
I'm located in Rowland Heights, CA... 91748 zip code.
And... thats why I'm having a deposit requirement before the car is seen / driven. If they're serious, they got 5 grand in their hands they can show me.
If you got serious buyers lemme know!

Wow and finally Ive found out the shift pattern in RHD cars is the same as ours. Thats just crazy and backwards. It would be hard enough to shift lefty let alone having first farthest from you. None the less nice car.
StaticX27
07-11-2005, 06:07 AM
Thats why people buy JDM shift knobs =P
StEaLtHbLkZeRo
07-11-2005, 07:51 PM
it's not that hard....i shift faster with my left hand because my bro used to have me shift when he got lazy driving and just did the clutch, so yea...it's really weird, but a RHD would be no problem for me.....too bad im onli 17 so i don't got 21k.....

i think the right hand drive is scaring everyone away, even tho u can get it leagalized, cops will be on your ass all the time.
StaticX27
07-17-2005, 08:41 PM
Nah, as long as you're not an idiot, they won't care. I drive right in between two CHP's on bikes and they just kinda looked at me once, and did a double take, then talked with me at the light, just asking questions and such. Granted I know cops can be asses, there's nothing illegal about it =P

I'm confused....That's a Honda RSX-S isn't it? The JDM ITR has round head lights....?
StaticX27
07-28-2005, 02:42 PM
Nope, its a real ITR.
In Japan, the RSX never came out. It was treated as the newest generation Integra.

No offense but its a lil expensive I think, not even beign registered and such. My friend just bought a 2000 Aristo RHD, Twin turbo for 26k, they sold a skyline and an evo JDM both under 26k and they registered it for them.
