My GTS tranny grinds when shifting and it growls when I let off the gas on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears. I was thinking about using redline tranny fluid to see if it smoothees things out? Anyone tried it? Or is this tranny not suitable for redline use?

I have redline MT-90 tranny oil and it works great. I notice a difference between stock.

how long have you used it, how many quarts you needed?
I used it in my previous car and it did take the grinding away.

It was a great difference when I used it in my previous eclipse but was not sure about the celi since I am new to Toyotas.

It'll make properly working parts smoother to engage, but won't solve damaged synchros or gears.

I changed to MT-90 @ 50.000 miles and I "think" shifting is smoother.

I wasn't having any problems before, with my 2000 GT-S tranny. I didn't abuse it.

The factory fiill looked clean as it was pouring out.

The only way you will notice a difference is if your current tranny oil is old or not the correct weight.
