VB Surfer do you think you can PM the instructions to me or post them up here for everyone to use.
Also does anyone know how to take apart the moonroof part of the headliner?
I guess when it stops raining on the weekends and gets warm again i'm going to attempt to disassemble the moonroof and headliner again.
Girlie, just clean the plastics super good and I don't mean wipe them down, I mean real good with some harsh household products ammonia based.
Then add some sort of vinyl prep to loosen up the plastic to accept the dye.
I heard some water downed paint thinners/laquer thinners/toluene will do the job also.
Then just spray away in even thin coats and many of those coats. Add some clear coat and your done.
I think I might be way off.
Some people use Duplicolor.
I have looked on the internet previously for hours and SEM dye seems to be the best (no pun intented).

Are you talking about dying or painting?
If you are painting, you need to at least scuff the surface prior to any type of primer or base coat going on there.

I'm not going to get into a shouting match with you.
Your not the first to dye their interior.
Like I said it's all in the installs and what I have already.
Thanks again.

Painting the interior isnt that hard..
things you will need..
800 grit & 1000-2000 grit sand paper
sufacer, sealer, primer
and paint...I did mine the color of my car (silver) i got it from NAPA where they matched the color of my car and put the paint in a can.
all you have to do is sand what you want painted with the 800 grit till smooth...this should take the longest coz if you the amount of time you put in will effect the out come of your finished product.
after sanding it de grease it by cleaning it with dawn dish soap...
Then apply the first layer of sufacer but a few coats on their
Tip: wait till it dry's about 8 - 15 min b4 putting another coat on
then apply the primer do the same thing you did with the surfacer
then the same with the sealer
after your done layering its time for the first coat of paint.
make sure that you dont spray too much on but enough so that you dont see any of the sealer's color
then let the paint dry...
Tip: best to have the paint in the sun or in a sun replica (heating lamp)
then after the paint is completely dry wet sand with the 1000-2000 grit pat dry and let it sit for a few min and apply 2nd coat.
The more wet sand the shinnier it gets.
After you are satisfied with with the amount of coats let it dry give it a day just to be sure its dry.
total cost: 45 bucks
total time: sanding 1hr. ( center console, and some trim)
Painting 2hrs.
drying 25.5 hours ( Just incase i let is sit for a day off and on in the sun)
any q's just PM me

Clmcm400 -I only made the comment cuz somebody just had to say " ask a man to do it" I am anything but typical
CelicaSport - Have you seen a white celica with TN plates around Va beach?
So has anybody who's thought about painting from this thread actually painted anything yet? if so pics :) ??? If my painting thus far (which is seriously addictive) I'm starting to wonder if there might be such a thing as to much blue.

A hell of a lot more than that. This question has been asked every few months for 3 years straight.
