What Is the Top Speed On Celica GT-S 6 spd...Stock?May be a dumb ? but is there a governer on the GT-S I havent yet got mine due to $...well Thanks...!

No governor on the US Celica (GT or GT-S).

Stock GT-S 6 speed, top speed is almost 140mph (in 5th).

Hey is it electronically limited or does it just run out of power Becuz if it's power-limited, then with exhaust and stuff you can go 140+ Right....?

Remember, body kits and wide wheels/tires will slow down your top speed (air resistance). And lowering your car could improve aerodynamics. But the number one determiner of your Celica's top speed is power.

5th gear tops out at 130. The only governer is the rev limiter. I'm not sure that the car has the power to make it to redline in 6th though. I think topped out in 6th is about 140-145 though.

I think topped out in 6th is about 140-145 though. 5th gear should hit the limiter (8300rpm) at about 145mph, but I don't know if you can actually reach it stock. And redline in 5th is about 135mph.

I believe 6th tops out below 5th, at about 125mph, and it won't overcome air resistance past that speed. Redline in 6th is about 170mph, and the revlimiter in 6th would hit at 181mph (of course it won't even come close to the redline in 6th).

maanh, crazy top.. anyways.. not my best run.. first try.. i shifted early while in 5th.. so.. hence ended up at 138mph.. it didn't budge in 6th.. [landed @ 6,2000rpm]

When I had my GT-S stock, I got it up to 145 mph. With what I have now, I'm not sure how fast it will go now. At 145 mph I let off cause I was leaving the rest of my friend so i had to slow down. I'm guessing it could go faster than 145 mph if you can find a road to do without cops around. LOL!

I dunno. My speedo is way off. I bet most are. Anyone do a radar run? Sometimes I use a GPS. Anyone have any comments about this? It seems to under read while the speedo way over-reads.

I have a 2002 and of coarse my rev lim is at 8000 i was redlinin 5th at 130 ...got to 137 brfore i ran outa road.god hail the man who can get my rev limiter up to 8300
