I am having Tein S techs and Tokio struts installed today. Anyone have this setup. How is the ride. It should lower the whole car 1.4".

kinda depends on whether or not you want adjustable dampening

I just got my Tokico blues installed and the rear of the car is really spongy. There are on Tein S-tech and the car is a lot easier to push down than before. Are there struts supposed to be this loose?

get KYB AGX, you'll love'em! I have a kyb-agx and tein s tech setup. This setup is probably the most recommended for those on budget and show great results, not to mention the dampening! Its a nice feature to have if you ever want to go auto x!

that doesnt sound right. the stechs ride quality seems pretty close to stock.

if i had koni yellows, i sure as hell drop it more than an inch, id probably pair them up with ground control coilovers.

I'm considering the tein s springs. What gives a better drop, The koni yellow struts, the Tokicos or the Kyb Agx? It seems they are all pretty closely matched.

dont really think its a matter of drop, more like a matter of price. koni's are a little pricey, tokico's are cheap and will work good with the stechs, kybs imo are great because theyre not too expensive like the koni's and still provide you adjustable dampening.

Not to get off topic, but I heared you can get uneven wear on your tires if you don't have a camber kit, when you lower it? Do I need a camber kit? right now I have a stock suspension but am getting the STein springs and KyB struts.

after any suspension work your camber and toes might be off, thats why you need to get your alignment done so they can bring it back to factory specs or close to it. with the stech springs the alignment shop should be able to use the stock camber bolts to fix the camber issues, so you wont need to buy a camber kit. worst case senario, youre still left with a little bit of negative camber which will slowly start to wear out the inner edge of your rear tires (if your rear wheels butterflied).

I've been told to buy a suspension package, (to be sure the struts and springs fit) instead of buying struts and springs seperate. I know it doesn't matter as long as the struts match the springs. Before I order I just want to make sure the Kyb Agx struts fit the tein s-tech springs?? And is ebay going to be my best price? Thanks

You have Tein S-Techs and Tokico struts and you only have a 2 finger gap all the way around? Does this sound right to everyone else?? The S-Techs are supposed to be only a 1.4 inch drop. The Hotchkis springs drop a lot more than that in the back and are pretty damn close to that in the front and I have never heard of anyone having a 2 finger gap with those. What size tires are you running? I can't imagine that particular set-up would give you that low of a drop. In order to get a 2 finer gap all the way around on stock wheels and tires the car would have to be dropped more than 1.4 inches. Something is up. Please post pics and elaborate some more.

When I was running my Hotchkis set-up it wasn't even dropped that low. Hell, my TRD coilovers I am currently runnis is supposed to be a 1.75 inch drop all the way around and I have more than a 2 finger gap, something is up with your set-up, or you are running some huge sidewalled tires.

Well if he really only has a 2 finger gap on STechs with say a 215/40-17 tire on his car then he is dropped lower than 1.4 inches LMAO, a good bit lower. However, there is one thing I am not taking into account here LOL how large his fingers are. I have about a 3-4 finger gap on my 1.75 inch drop but my fingers are very small so you know.

Quick question on the tein stech's for the install did u guys cut the bump stops on urs and i notice that there a black rubber surrounding the top and bottom of each of the spring is that to reduce sound?

I have 17's with a 45 series tire. The shop that installed them had to cut about 1 inch off of the stock bumpstops. I have two fingers all the way around. No rake. Even all the way around.
