I need to change my rotors because they were squealing from rust when i would apply the brake and everyone has told me that they are to thin to cut. So instead of getting new stock brakes i want to get aftermarket ones. Is this a good choice? And i dont really know much about brakes so i dont know whats the best brand, or design, and i dont know prices. So can you guys help me find the best rotor quality=$

the aem has bigger rotors that might not fit your wheel if you still have stock 16in or 15in. i have brembo slotted rotors, low $200~. rotora is another good brand. make sure you get new brake pads also.

Check your brake pads. Someone had them, and the pads were too big for the rotor, and wore completely unevely.

I put the TRD pads in ... they seem to be ok for now and i've had them in for about 2 years now.

For aftermarket rotors I would consider the following brands:

1. Brembo Slotted sport rotors. I think Brembo recommends FERODO pads (e.g. DS2500)

2. Stoptech Slotted rotors (with Axxis Ultimate pads)

3. Rotora Slotted (with Axxis Ultimate pads).

In my Celica TS mod. 2004 (that is GT-S in US) I have installed the Stoptech Stage 2 Brake Kit (Slotted Rotors & Axxis Ultimate pads front & rear, Stoptech Stainless Steel Brake Lines, Motul RBF600 brake fluid). I am very happy with the performance of the brakes.

They grab better than stock and the brake balance is same as stock.

By the way, this is my first port in the Newcelica forums.

if i wasnt savin up for a bbk, id probably get the rotora slotted rotors.

btw, may seem like a stupid question but have you guys seen the rotors up on ebay? now would it be an issue of quality with those or material. if its the same material as all the other rotors, then i dont see how they can mess up a round piece of metal. kinda like the rmm and apc strut bars.

has anyone had any experience with KVR performance rotors?
