I am planning on buying a carbon fiber hood, and want the keep the OEM style. What company would offer the best quality? I hear ViS is pretty damn good. Is there anyone better? Also, are the "ViS Hoods" advertised on Ebay authentic, b/c awhile ago (being a newbie) I didn't know Mugen was a Honda/Acura brand. I bought a "Mugen CAI" for my 03 GT any turns out they don't even make one celica or toyota product. Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks.

vis is good, not the best, but good, and make sure anything you buy thats vis has the vis decal on it somewhere. i think almost everybody who makes the cf hood for the celica makes an oem version. but wathc yourself, they maybe be oem, doesn't mean they come with a scoop. how much are you looking to spend, you can get them real cheap on ebay...but you get what you pay for. not the best quality, not the best fitment.

the carbon fiber one looks nice. I'm thinking about the OEM hood with the raised scoop. Any other suggestions for a $500 budget?

if im not mistaken, vis is the only one that makes oem cf hoods with a raised scoop. other companies such as fiberimages and seibon make oem cf hoods but they come with the oem size scoop. imo if your spending 500, just pick up a nice vis cf hood. i wouldnt buy one off ebay, simply because i'd like to actually see what im buying, not some generic pic. i bought my hood about 2 years ago, its a vis oem with raised scoop and its also double sided and grade AA. that should fall within your price range. my only suggestion with this is dont go cheap, spend the extra buck and get something that will last.

Do stock hoods have that same gap on the side as this "very nice" fitment hood?

Or this lifted gap in the front by the bumper?
