View Full Version : TRD to Tein S-tech worth it?

I have TRD springs and KYB AGX's on my celica right now... do you think its worth it to switch over to Tein S-tech for a little more drop? do you think its a noticable drop compared to the TRD springs? Has anyone here switched from TRD to TEIN???? I have 18's too and it raised my car up a tad from when I had 17's...? Worth it yay or nay?

i would since theyre pretty cheap, then you can always sell your trd springs.

im in the same boat... i got the tokico suspension kit.. bout a 1" drop... im thinking bout selling my tokico springs and getting tein s-techs... maybe sometime this summer... i think its worth it

I have S-tech's with Tokico struts/shocks and they are great.

Sguerra923, do you have pics of your drop? I just bought a set of Eibach's that will be going on AGX. If I dont like it I may switch to TEIN before I do the install

The Tein S-Tech's are totally worth it for the money.. They give your car that extra little drop over the TRD making an amazing appearence difference, but still not causing your bumpers to drag the ground. The S-techs are so inexspensive I would keep your TRD springs for a while and give the S-techs a trial run...but honestly I have them w/ the AGX's and I love them and have never gotten a complaint from a rider...

Thanks for you input on the springs seems like everyone says the same thing about the tein against the TRDs do you have any pics u can post up?

:thumbup: pics are in my gallery...and for a long time I ran w/ a setting of 3/3 and I began to not like how the front felt so for about a month I have had the front set on 4 and the rear on 3 and I like how the car feels in corners w/ the stiffer front end...

trd is 1in drop, arent tein springs only a 1.5 drop. that .5 really make a big difference?

Arent the teins green though? :gay: If not someone correct me because i def do not have any green on my car and it might look a little funky. :scared:

anyone have tein without shocks/struts? if so when u upgraded to shocks/struts was it alot better? because i have s-tech's right now with stock suspention and it get pretty pissing from time to time..

because it is soo stiff and like it makes the whole car vibrate cuz it's soo stiff, and when turn or going over little bumps the car kinda just hops over them.
