It sucks, Monday it stormed near my house and I was driving down a flooded street when this subaru outback comes out of no where going at least 15 MPH causing a massive wake and wave to completely cover my car bringing water into my air intake, a LOT of water. well I had it towed home and I completely tore the engine down to try and fix it. I thought the starte might have just been bad but with the starter off I could turn the engine but then it would just stop at one certain point. I had it taken to the dealer. They said I have a "Major Engine Problem" and that I have a bad piston rod and the engine needs to be replaced :( So I am claiming it on my insurance and still awaiting it to be taken care of. Do you think that If i get a new engine the mileage will be set back to zero?
