it's not too hard.

1. remove all plastic in the rear

2. cut side plastic's to fit the pieces that mount to the same bolts that hold on the seat brackets. I just eyeballed mine and they turned out really good, I know some people use a template, but I found that more difficult then eyeballing it.

3. Mount the bar in between the two side brackets that you just cut the holes for. This will allow you to put the bottom bracket in place to see where to two holes for this bracket.

4. mount the bar, and then put the rest of the plastics back on. I know this sounds like a pretty generic install, but it is really easy. I think there is an install for this somewhere on this site. If not, try to get ahold of hypermotive (if possible) and see if they can e-mail there install guide.

Ok. This is what you should have assuming you got all the pieces:

http://www.newcelica.org/photopost/data/500/17544PDRM1559-med.JPG

You will have to drill two for this:
http://www.newcelica.org/photopost/data/500/17544PDRM1560-med.JPG

It will sit on top of the support that crosses your trunk. (located under the plastic tray right behind the seat) The holes will be drilled into the front of this. Similar to this:
http://www.newcelica.org/other/installs/trdrearstrutbar/DrilledHoles.jpg

There should be another small strip with some bolts welded to it(shown on the left in the top pic) that will mount on the inside of this cross support and bolt to the bracket and clamp the bracket to the cross support.

Then there are these two pieces:

http://www.newcelica.org/photopost/data/500/17544PDRM1561-med.JPG

These will bolt to the sides of the main bar and will attach to the bolts that hold your seat latches. Like this:

As recommend you should install the side peices first to line up where you will need to drill the holes. Also loosely install everything first and then tighten it all up once it fits. As for cutting the plastics I will leave this up to someone else to explain as I just eyeballed mine as well.

When you are all done it should looks like the pic I posted above.

Just a question on the Hypermotive bar regarding the design of it. I have the TRD 3pt bar and they have a pretty simlar desgin. However, the best selling point of the HM bar is the easy detatchable for trunk space.

Now, the design of the HM bar is to extend the connecting point. The center has supporting bars in the middle to stiffen the bar and the middle part is very strong no doubt about that. But by extending the connecting point with a plate, that will increase the stress on those two extended plates and therefore making the stress point the each end of those two plates where it used to be a little stronger with the TRD bar when the bar is all the way to the connection point, not at the extention plate.

Wouldnt that make the bar less stronger than it was (TRD) ?

I hope I am making sense
