I have the same problem, somewhere I read that, the problem is with the torque.

You need to lube the center space under the endplates (not the outer ring with the mounting holes). The rubber from the strut tops rubs against the endplates, causing that noise. Lubing the endplates solves the problem (happened to me, too).

I lubed mine up and it still pops. Another thing I don't like is honestly this is supposed to tighten up the front end and keep stresses away from the strut towers and whatnot but honestly I think that somehow it has made my car flex more. Seriously, I take it off and the car seems to be much weaker and flex much more than it ever did before. It is weird cause it is supposed to help with the flexing and whatnot and I think it does to an extent but seriously the front end on my car feels much looser than it used to be and I have only had it on for around 10,000 miles or so.

Then again, your suspension as a whole has been pretty fubar'd already. ;)

It fit my car with the stock battery, but not the replacement battery I got from Pep Boys. :(

Lithium grease in a tube worked for me.

That is interesting because it would not fit mine with the stock battery. Then again I do not rememer exactly why, but I believe it was having issues with my CF hood!

Do you have pics of this? I ask because I am still on my stock battery and it took me some severe modification to get my stock battery tie down to work with the APR strut bar. I have tried many times and there is no way in hell tht the APR tie down will work on my car with the stock battery. Perhaps my battery is a bigger size or something than what you had stock, I dunno. I could make the APR one work if I file it down enough but I hate to ruin it. In fact, there used to be a thread stating that the APR battery tie down would not work. It was from way back in the day but I remember it was a rather large thread and most people said they threw their's away. Anyways, good luck and Blue I would like to see some pics of it installed if you don't mind good sir. That is if you have some. Hell, I even went to their website to see how they have it set up on our cars and they have the blasted thing on there backwards. There is not enough room between the strut bar and the firewall to put it on the way they have it in the pic on their site. I am lost.

I got a question to bring this thread back to life. The area you are talking about to grease Blue, do you have a pic? Is it the part that is in the middle of each side of the strut bar, under the hood, that is covered by the rubber thingies. Also by saying adjust the allan screws, it doesnt need to be as tight as it can get?
Thanks
