Pages : [1] 2 3

Description:
These endlinks are made for stock height and lowered applications. They are made from corrosion resistant zinc plated steel, using high strength ball bearing rod ends. The endlinks are reverse threaded to make on-car adjustments quick and simple. Spring lock washers and jam nuts are used to prevent parts from coming loose. The rod ends have no liners to compress and cause knocking noises. They are lubricated with waterproof Lucas Xtra Heavy Duty Grease (lube for life spec), and use seals to keep the grease in and dirt out.

Pricing:
Full set: $165 ($150 endlinks + $15 s/h)
Front pair: $90 ($80 endlinks + $10 s/h)
Rear pair: $80 ($70 endlinks + $10 s/h)

S/H price listed is for continental US and Canada only. Overseas may cost more. Local pickups available.

Front Endlink Sizes:
Stock-1" drop
1"-2" drop
2"-3" drop

Please specify which size you need in your order.

Payment:
I accept PayPal and money orders. Email me at christian.fiore@gmail.com to order or submit questions (no PMs, please). Please include your screen name on emails. I can also be reached on AIM as ChristianFiore (http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=172648#).

Ending date: 05/31/05
All payments must be in by the 31st. All parts to build all endlinks ordered will be purchased at the same time to save shipping. Once all endlinks are assembled, they will all be shipped at the same time, so hopefully everyone who ordered will get theirs around the same time.

Very good news. I'm assuming these have been tested already Chris? I have to pay a few bills first, but after that I'm in. I plan to drop my car 2" with Tein SS-P's, so what would be better, the 1-2" set or the 2-3" set?

Would you be able to bring them to the June 5th meet? ;)

I guess it depends on if you plan on getting the car corner weighted (the proper way to install coilovers). If so, you might want to go with the 1-2", and you could always cut down the threaded hex if you need more room. If not, the 2'-3" should work. I could always ship your endlinks with both size hex bars for $15 extra, so you can have 1"-3" adjustability. Would you be able to bring them to the June 5th meet? ;)
If I get all the parts in time, yes. :)

Yes, I'll make them as long as I can get at least 10 people to buy them per GB. Otherwise, the prices of some of the components go up significantly.

sorry if this is a newbie question, but what does an endlink necessary do? sorry if im being ignorant :eslap:

Blue Bomber

Endlinks attach your sway bars to the rest of the suspension. When you lower your car, you ideally need to adjust the length of the endlinks, since the sway bar's angle will be altered. It needs to be parallel to the ground for optimal performance. Unfortunately our stock endlinks aren't adjustable. Sometimes, all the stress from having the sways at the wrong angle (preload) can potentially bend or dislodge your stock endlinks. This is most common on the front endlinks when using coilovers , but it's happened while using just springs, too.

These endlinks will allow you to alter their length, so the sways will be at the proper angle. They're also stronger than stock, so they'll be able to handle the abuse of aftermarket springs, coilovers, and sways. They should also help reduce or eliminate the damage the poor fitting TRD front sways seem to cause (rubbing against the suspension).

Easiest way to find out is to unbolt one of the front endlinks. That will eliminate the stress on the sway, so if it really is an endlink, the noise will be gone. Just don't drive too hard, since your car will want to oversteer a lot. ;).

You don't have the right machine to test them with. :p: [QUOTE=Blue Bomber]so what happens if people start to get them and they start breaking?I guess I could give a 30 day warranty, but the life of the endlinks is highly dependant on the install. If they're not adjusted properly and are set too long, there will be much more stress on them than if they were installed right. I don't see them breaking, though, since they're made completely out of steel, use high strength rod ends (rated about equal as Hotchkis'), and they're adjustable to the proper length each individual's suspension requires (unlike Hotchkis').

The sway would be misaligned and it would cause extra stress on th endlinks. Not sure if it would hit any part of the suspension at that height, either. i'm a bit lost. please clear something up for me. are these endlinks the same size (height)?? from what i understand they are the same height (can adjust the hieght by turning the bolt up or down) BUT different thickness. 2-3" being thicker. am i correct?

Blue Bomber
05-18-2005, 06:58 PM
Nope, the difference is the adjustability range, which is made for different drops. The threading on rod ends is too short to safely adjust past about 1" (including length on both sides), so I'm selling setups with 3 different ranges for different types of drops. The difference is in the length of the center part (rod on fronts, threaded rod on rears), which affects the overall length of the endlink.

No reason it shouldn't. The part that always breaks/bends on other endlinks (the center rod) is made of chromoly on mine. Like I said before, I'm offering a 1 month warranty on these, so if anything happens during that time, you can request a replacement part, or return the endlinks. Blue Bomber,
I would like a full set. 1"-2" drop.

Also, tell me how many more sets need to be paid for before you have your 10 sets and I will pay for all of them if you sell them for me.

I would say just make the last few sets 1"-2" drop since that seems to be the norm.
I will be in no hurry to get my money back, so if it takes two years to sell the last few sets, no problem. Just trying to help get these made. Thanks.

Hey Blue When I jack my car up I hear this creaking noise from what might be the endlinks, I don't believe the camber links would be doing that. Same noise when I lower it back down. I also hear it whenever I turn up and down my driveway and even turning on the street. Creaks like an old door. If you can confirm this is it, and I do have TEIN coilovers BTW, then I will pay for a set of 2-3 inch drop tonight for a rear pair.

Blue Bomber
05-30-2005, 02:20 PM
Try doing some of that stuff with the hatch open. The hatch bumpers tend to make squeaking/creaking noises when the rear chassis flexes. If it's them, some lithium grease will solve that noise.

Go for it. I have enough in my account to cover your set before the money order clears, so I'll transfer the money into PayPal this week, and I'll let you know when I get the money order.

I also need to wait for verification on exactly how the front endlinks need to be adjusted for each drop. I originally thought they needed to be shorter than stock when the car is lowered, since everyone said they made theirs shorter, but someone brought up that the front is set up differently from the rear (which does need shorter endlinks). Now I'm second guessing about if the endlinks need to be shorter or longer than stock. I'll need a definitive answer before I order the parts.

BTW, I just found a site that sells even stronger rod ends (7600 vs 5100 lbs load rating) for about $.50 more each than the ones I was planning on using, so my endlinks will be stronger than ever.

I also need to wait for verification on exactly how the front endlinks need to be adjusted for each drop. Now I'm second guessing about if the endlinks need to be shorter or longer than stock. I'll need a definitive answer before I order the parts.

How long would these take to get made honestly. I don't mean to make this difficult but I just don't wanna end up experiencing a TPR-esque wait. If they can be made in a one month timespan I will pay you asap. Any more than a month I'd just rather live with the noises.

They should be in your hands about 2 weeks after I receive the last payment, depending on how fast the parts get to me. Since I just got a new job, I'll have to wait till the weekend to machine some parts.

Oh I didn't know we were waiting 3 weeks for one more payment, I would have just threw in that money for him just so everyone would have gotten theirs by now and if I didn't get money back you could just send his endlinks to me. Oh well I'll just assume this WILL be a TPR-esque wait, that way It won't be so bad when I receive it one day when i least expect it. I've had worse groupbuys like Gaytek's GayDM Groupbuy Version Gay. Man I still can't forget that fools line where he says... "You wanted it, and as always Kozztuning got it for you." More like and for always Kozztuning got your money.

Oh I didn't know we were waiting 3 weeks for one more payment, I would have just threw in that money for him just so everyone would have gotten theirs by now and if I didn't get money back you could just send his endlinks to me. Well, that, and also someone mentioned the endlinks may need to be lengthened instead of shortened, which held things up a bit, but the consensus said shortened.Oh well I'll just assume this WILL be a TPR-esque wait, that way It won't be so bad when I receive it one day when i least expect it. Umm, no. :p: The hardest part is making the center rods, since they're being purchased as just rod stock, and will need to be cut to length, drilled and tapped to be usable. There will be about 76 of them, so they'll take a good day or so to make. After that, it's only assembling everything and packing them up, which would only take a few hours. I'll post pics when I receive all the parts. We will be purchasing soon...FYI
Unless you can pay by PayPal using a credit card or your PayPal balance by around Wed or Thurs, you'll need to wait for the next GB.

Waiting to receive the money order from DopeCelicaGT, then I'll order the parts. Shouldn't take more than a week at worst for all the parts to come in. The weekend after they do, I'm going to Dan's shop and working on the rods. Once those are done, all I need to do is assemble everything and ship them. How would endlinks cause your suspension to be knocking?? maybe that is that damn noise I keep hearing in my car everytime I drive down a gravel road or something. Every since I put the TRD coilovers on and the stock endlinks back on I get all kinds of noise frome the rear passenger side. It almost sounds like a bad coilover but it only makes the noise on extremely bump/bad roads so I think it is something else. Anyways carry on!

If the rod end is damaged/loose, it will make a clunking noise. You can try wiggling your endlinks, and if they have free play in them, then they need replacing. Overtightening can also cause the clunking noise.

I got all kinds of rackeet coming from the passenger side rear and I cannot figure out what it is as it only does it on really rough roads. I am starting to question whether or not the 2 rear coilovers are blown that would def. explain the weird handling characteristics I have had.

Dropped the rods off at the shop this weekend (got to rent a big ass van :gap: ). Now I just need to find a day that I don't work overtime to get over there. At worst, I'll be there for a little while on Sat to work on them.

What kind of noises? I never really experienced any noises with mine before they broke.

He didn't really elaborate--just that they received complaints about "noises" via phone calls and from reading message boards...

Notice I put, "Before they broke!" Hahahaha!

That's more likely why they allegedly discontinued it. "Noises" = code for "they break sometimes".

It's all limited by how long the garage stays open each day. There's no real specific time past 5pm weekdays/12pm Sat that they stay open. They just stay open till they're finished with their work or get fed up with it. That's why I need to get into contact with the shop during the day, so I'll know if they have time for me to work that same day.

Manny_TXtreme will be receiving the first set (along with people that know him who ordered), since he lives near here and will be getting an alignment at the same shop. Unfortunately, he was recently banned, so he won't be able to give a review. :sadpace:

Hey I'll be coming with Manny when he gets his alignment and endlinks installed so any reviews written by him will be duly posted.

About the Manny incident:
He was unfairly banned over some b.s that took place in OT. He supposedly threatened another member who had made fun of Aahlek's death back in april and told Manny he hoped he would join Aahleks 6ft under. Manny responded by telling the guy that "his hands were lethal in 48 continental states".
Manny and the site admin - ChumpChiggy - have had a history of problems since Chiggy first poked fun at the Aahlek's death so you can imagine it was nicely orchestrated to get Manny booted. Amazing how Manny gets in trouble for that but you can actually poke fun at dead former nc.org members..Go figure. One would think what happens in OT stays in OT.

Everytime someone brings the Manny situation up, I will keep posting because what happened to that guy was totally unfair.

I would really like to get these on before WINTER!!! I mean come on...we have all paid ...and waiting for 6 months just because of excuses is total BS. I mean I was fine after the first month or two....AFTER I was told it would be a couple weeks after the last person paid.....but this is getting rediculous. You made a verbal/written contract by taking orders and peoples money...just like a business. It's not very businesslike to keep making excuses to get these done! YOU are the one that needs to find a way...ANY way to get these finished and sent to people in a timely manner. I don't mean to be a ****...but this is just a little past due! I could have spent money on dealer endlinks and had the struts/springs on months ago if I thought this was gonna take forever and a day. At least post updates regularly instead of waiting for people to ask "what is up?" I will gladly install and write a review of he product when I get them installed.

I went to the shop I was talking about before on Sat, but their saw wasn't bolted down, so I couldn't get a straight cut on anything. Right now, I'm waiting for the shop owner to get me the number of a place he suggested I should use (along with an update on my car).

Alright this is getting freaking ridiculous. You said they would be in our hands after 2 weeks and it has been more than 4 months.

They should be in your hands about 2 weeks after I receive the last payment, depending on how fast the parts get to me. Since I just got a new job, I'll have to wait till the weekend to machine some parts.

I think we are all fed up with excuses and just want you to get them done. I have waited the longest time to install my springs/struts so that I could get these installed at the same time and make sure everything works right. But everytime you keep saying a week and then the next week its another week. I want to know how long its REALLY gonna take so that I can decide if I should get my springs/struts installed now and then the endlinks later or all at the same time.

Just for clarification this GB was started on May 12, 2005 and today is October 20, 2005, so we have past 6 months and are on our way to 7 months. However, that is just how some GB's go. I think Chris just got in a bind when his buddy told him he could use his shop, then when the time came that was not true and Chris (BlueBomber) was relying on that to get these done. As far as a refund goes, I don't think that these parts are returnable and I highly doubt Chris has enough cash laying around to give everyone a refund. Sometimes you just have to wait, it sucks but i am sure Chris will make it right in the end. However, I must admit it has been a long time, the lengthiest GB I have ever been in.

As far as what you should do, go ahead and install all of your stuff. The endlinks are not hard to put on nor do they have to be put on at the same time. Go ahead and install your springs, struts, sways, etc. then when you do actually get these just pop them on there. Just don't drive the car real hard with the stock end links and you will be fine.

Well, my front 2 endlinks are shot....stripped and loose...I have been driving around for 5 months like that...I ended up tightening them the best i could but they still make noise...not too mention my tires are shot from having bad struts. I am waiting to do the whole thing all at once just to be done with it, then get new tires. I don't want to sit in a frozen garage to do this either. I don't want a refund...if they turn out the way they looked in the picture and they fit correctly then great! I , as well as others are just getting anxious to put these on and not wait forever.

Trust me guys, I want this GB finished just as fast as you do. All it's doing is costing me more and more money, and if that's not an initiative to get the job done, I don't know what is. I should be getting my car back next weekend, so I'll definitely get the other shop's number by then at the latest. Maybe I can even use the shop that's working on my cylinder head (not sure if they do smaller jobs like that).

I haven't said much about it because I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but come on. I think it's been a little too long. It doesn't even take this long to get rare parts from Japan. The only thing else I'd have to do is paint the rods. Not sure if chromoly rusts, but the finish on them isn't very appealing to begin with, anyway. That won't hold the shipping up, though.
