I am not writing to flame...I have done that enough already. But I do have a question. If you know where Terry is (you posted his info a bit ago) and he supposedly stole this money from you, why have you not gotten the authorities involved. I don't understand why you would go through all of this? You have people threatening legal action against you and yet you have (seemingly) done nothing to try and recover the money from Terry. It just seems odd.

The local PD, DA or the FBI would be glad to help you.

that is sort of the bad thing about paypal, if i order something, pay , and then never get it, i can go to paypal and reverse my payment. problem is, paypal sucks at determining when they should and should not allow this.

someone mentioned escrow, where you pay in, the recipient accepts and delivers goods or services if needed. they do not get the money until you tell escrow to release it. once you release it from escrow to them it is final.

My two cents, rather than make threats of physical violence in a thread that is bound sooner or later to be used as evidence, go ahead and call las vegas police and the FBI.

ATTN: ALL PEOPLE "INVOLVED" IN THIS FIASCO!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been apart of this for awhile now, been checking the thread periodically, and thought everyone was getting there refunds at last time I checked... unfortunately, that wasn't the case...

As you all know, I was apart of this at one point, and was willing to wait to be the last person compensated in this ordeal, due to my infraction in the CF Hood GP.

As you can all see, it's been a couple weeks since Jason has posted here... Well, I got my car out of the shop this week, and today I decided to give Jason a call. His cell phone was disconnected... and his home phone rang continuosly with no answer. So I decided to take the drive over to his house.

His parents car was parked out front, so I went to the door to ring the bell when I saw a disturbing site... UPS had left "Failed Delivery" slips on the door dated 06/02/02, 06/03/02, 06/05/02... as well as a stack of the "Las Vegas Review Journal" which tells me, no one has been there in at least 2 weeks... All the blinds on the windows were closed, so I was unable to see inside. Nevertheless, I rang the bell, pounded the door, to an obvious failure.

However, the Garage door was open, so I let myself in... it was completely EMPTY, wiped out, shelves pulled off the walls, walls stripped of everything...The only thing there was a few boxes of shipping materials from UPS... boxes, shipping tape, labels, and letter packages... other than that, nada... The Fuse box is also in the garage, so I opened it, and all the circuits were shut off. Thus there was NO electricity running into the house...

There was a Real Estate sign there, so I called the number and spoke to a woman who happened to be their Real Estate agent. Apparently, Jasons parents were selling the house, as they were preparing to make the move back to the Phillipin Islands, but Jason was supposedly getting an Apartment here in town, but this wasn't supposed to take place until Mid-July... The Agent was slightly disturbed, and told me she would go to the house after she left her office for the day, use her key to get in, and see if all the furniture and things were gone... she was supposed to call me back and update me, alas I have not heard from her so, I will attempt to call her tomorrow.

Basically, what it boils down to is this... I believe Jason is gone. I haven't heard from him in over a month, and his parents are no where to be found... Neither phone numbers work, and he hasn't been online in weeks... unfortunately, it seems he's bought him self just enough time with all involved, that he's been able to jump ship... I'd put my money on him being in the Philipins with his family, and no chance of anyone getting their money returned...

However, this is just my gut instinct... he could've gotten an Apartment in town and he just hasn't contacted me yet... I hope this is the case yet, I have trouble believing it...

I'm really sorry guy's, it looks as though this ordeal has come to a close, and not in anyone's benefit but Jason's... I will attempt to find him, and hopefully the Real Estate people have a way of contacting them, as the house hasn't been sold yet, and they would need to be involved in the closing of the sale... I'll update you all as soon as possible...

Yeah, losing $700 is hard to choke down but I can honestly say it hasnt had too much of a financial effect on me since this whole thing started. So to Jason, if you are infact gone... I hope my $700 bought you something nice, hope the guilt doesn't kill you. As with that I'm done with this crap. Chiggy, I'm going to be in vegas the 21st-28th of June. Since the parents seem to own the house, and the checks were written from the mother's account, I'd suggest that those who aren't willing to kiss this off see about filing a small claims suit IMMEDIATELY against the family for the amounts owed. They obviously will not appear, and you should then be able to secure a lein against the family assets. that lein would have to be satisfied before any closing on the house can take place. This is your last chance to see any of your money! It's lucky for Jason that I'm not one of the people he ripped off, I would NEVER have waited this long to take action nor kissed it off. I have spent thousands to collect on much smaller bad debts, just on principles! I not only get mad, I GET EVEN!!!

There are several legal remedies that you can partake in to help you get some restitution. If you are willing to let him steal your money without a fight, then please send me some $$ too...

1. Call the LVPD asap and post your complaint (if you have not done so already)

2. Call the Nevada Attorney General to file a complaint of Fraudulent funds, bad checks and interstate mail fraud. knowingly writing bad checks is a crime

3. Respond to the letter you recieved from the FBI

4. Contact his parents and let them know of your intent to take the matter to small claims court.

Writing bad checks and interstate mail fraud are both serious crimes that carry a heavy penalty (up to and including imprisonment)

I agree with pitcrew, attack the parents civily because of the bad checks. When someone is involved in a lawsuit there is usually a Lis Pendens lien placed on their property as a warning to people buying it. No one will buy a house with a Lis Pendens on it, and if you win there will be a general lien placed on all their property, again the lein will have to be settled before anyone will want to buy it (you get your money).

If the house is worth any ammount of money they will want it sold and probably setlle, so either way you look at it you're in a great position. Course, you're going to need a lawyer to do this.

Chiggy, if you start threatening this type of stuff then i'm sure the realtor will be more than happy to help you out. Although I would really consider seeing a lawyer if you really want to do this.

As for Jason, GET AHOLD OF THE FBI ASAP. He has commited god knows how many crimes here, multiple violations of interstate comerce = Federal Crime. Jason, hope you like to take it up the ass big boy.... you're gonna have to get used to it.

Therefore, everyone went on their merry way and decided to purchase from him despite my warning. Pretty soon, a moderator deleted my post and it was erased from the database. Since then, I emailed everyone who bought stuff from him to see if it was a real scam.. then I started compiling the fact that he sold more than a few of the same items to different people.. when people started finally realizing it was a scam, thats about all I wanted to prove..

I haven't really posted since then.. but I was there since the beginning.. even before the beginning, like in oct/nov.. I still have the original post of monkeyboy listing all the parts for sale and the 13 pages following it backed up on my harddrive.

so what have *I* done? I tried to prevent all this.. but to no avail, monkeyboy still won.

it has to be him (he subconsciously signed his real name not thinking anyone would recall his past), and he has to be still logging on to nc.org under a new sn. that is fcked up. i know other nc.org members must know exactly who he is, theyre just keeping quiet to protect his identity because they know him personally. whatever. im glad i got my money back, but i did lose my first paypal account. it pisses me off that so many others got scammed, and gave up without seeing the thousands of dollars returned. i wish someone with a conscience would anonymously tip off (PM or IM) those scammed in monkeyboy2000's rip off sale so justice can be served.

Some of you have indicated that Monkeyboy2000 is a Mr. Jason Rosal who at one time lived at 1078 Little Rock Way in Las Vegas, Nevada, 89123. A search of records filed with the Assessor of Clark County, Nevada, shows that Jose Y. and Virginia M. Rosal purchased a home at that address around June 1997 (note that this property is specifically located in "Paradise" in these records, not the city of Las Vegas). Jason M. Rosal and Sidney M. Rosal appear as joint tenants in an October 1997 document. According to a May 2002 document, Sidney gave his interest to his parents--the document indicates he is "offspring to parents". The property was sold in December 2002.

So, what else can we find about Monkeyboy2000? One member here commented that he worked for a computer business of some sort. So, we look to the Business License index of Clark County and search for Jason Rosal. There is nothing in the Active or Pending documents list, so you must look at the Inactive list. There, it appears that Jason Rosal filed a DBA to operate a business under the name "Ultimate Computer Solutions" located at the same address on Little Rock Way. The license expired on 2/28/2001. Most local courts are not searchable on the net. But the 8th District Court of Nevada is. Looking for the last name "Rosal" or "Ultimate Computer" we find the following:

1. Case # 07-A-543818-F, closed on 6/28/07. Just from the summary of the case activity, Leasecomm Solutions sued Ultimate Computer Solutions (Jason Rosal was also a defendant) and obtained a judgment of $2,905.70, apparently under the Uniform Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Act. According to the Commercial Collection Agency Association, at http://www.ccaacollect.com/images/enforcing.pdf, this means that a lawsuit was apparently filed in another state or territory other than Nevada and the Nevada court agreed to enforce the judgment. I think Leasecomm will need a lot of luck in collecting that.

2. Case # 07-A-543322-C, filed 6/20/07, still active. Jason Rosal (and Sidney Rosal, primary defendant) sued by Midland Credit Management, Inc. No indication why.

3. Case # 01-A-435711-C, filed 6/6/01, closed 10/22/01. Jason Rosal and Ultimate Computer Solutions were sued as defendants. The Plaintiff (Terry Connelly) obtained a Default Judgment, which is usually granted when nobody responds to a suit. (Sound familiar?) It isn't clear from the summary, but it appears that either Rosal, Ultimate Computer Solutions, or both were ordered to pay (at least) $24,715.60. Only looking at the actual court documents would lead to clearer information. Again, the plaintiff will need much luck in collecting.

Case # 98-C-152526-C, Just Ct. Case # 98-F-03840. According to the summary, Jason M Rosal was the defendant in a criminal prosecution by the State of Nevada, arraigned on 8/5/98. Rosal pled guilty to a gross misdemeanor charge of attempted theft and was sentenced to three years of probation in late 1998. He was also ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution.

Now, I cannot vouch for these records, but they are official documents. I know nothing more about this than what county offices represent in their websites. I cannot say if Monkeyboy2000 is actually Jason Rosal or Jason M Rosal. But if you wish, you can look at the records online, or order copies, to your satisfaction. If I was defrauded, I think I would appreciate knowing that, in some way, justice has been served, even if these cases are in no way related to the claims made in this thread.

I think that if some of this information was available (in 2001 and earlier, at least), these unfortunate transactions would not have occurred. I hope that, some day, those who lost their money will have it returned to them. Best of luck to you all.

You will also notice that a person named Sid Rosal in Las Vegas also has a MySpace page and is friends with Jason (nickname "SID") (http://www.myspace.com/timberlv22). Coincidence? You make the call. (Note: These claims apparently do not involve Jason Rosal's brother, but this is offered only to help determine whether the Jason Rosal all of you have written of is in fact the same person with this particular MySpace page.)
