Soon I will be installing Tein S-techs. On the Tein instruction sheet, it says not to reuse the top lock nut (damper shaft nut). Is this just a regular locking nut that you can get from almost any auto parts store? And also, so I can pick some up before I start installing, what is the size of the locking nut?

As long as you tighten the stock nut properly, it'll be fine. Use a torque wrench, and a vise grip with a sheet of aluminum or copper for holding the strut piston.

From my experience, at least on the coilovers I have had the stock nut will not work because the rod or the shaft on the new struts is a different size and thread than the stock struts. On my TRD's there was no other lock nut supplied than what they came with and TRD said not to use those but everyone that has had them used the nut supplied so...!
