Got the Varis Extremor front bumper.

I got WW sides and TRD rear. Going to the body shop this week. :)

The bodyshop guy is trying to convince to do a pearl job, he said it wouldn't be that much more. I'm thinking about it but I don't want lose the effect of the matching wheels. What do you guys think?

Yeah it's one of those love or hate kits, I wanted something different and with a nice opening for better flow for the intercooler. Fitment and quality is excellent. I'm very happy with it. Not to mention this kit is made by varis and their aero kits are track tested for functionality

Not saying I hate the front. Maybe once it's painted it will look better. The dark color will hide some of the features so it will look kinda like the TRD mechanical kit.

The first one u photo chopped for the rsx. my friend has the full body kit but its all in carbon fiber....and his car is gun metal. its pretty nasty to say the least. =0/

Fuggin' awesome Fabian! :thumbup: I would get the pearl for sure, because the car would stand out a bit more. Dont worry about the wheels, pearl is so subtle of an effect that most people won't even notice that the wheels don't match the paint of the car. And technically the wheels aren't painted OEM Carbon Blue anyway, so it won't be a bad idea to go with the pearl. :D What color pearl though?

If you think about repainting the whole car, I'd stick with black. Black always looks good. Not just an ordinary black though, there are several black paint colors out there that do flip flop colors. Some have pearl tones added in them and some have mica's or metallics. I redid my car from factory bright red to Honda's night hawk black pearl metalic. The color is sweet. In the shade it's black but when the sun hits it, certain edges have a blue pearl glow to it and it flip flops from black to blue at certain angles. I'm thinking about redoin the whole car in a Mercedes black paint scheme. They have a color thats goes from black to a teal- it's beautiful.

Pearl is only a tone additive by the way. You can put a pearl tone in any paint color.

Oh yeah- the main reason for the color change, black is the most un noticed color to a state troopers or local police/sheriffs eyes. It's almost impossible to get a succesful clocked speed readings from a laser gun some patrols cars are carrying in a black car. Whats more noticeable on the highway- a speeding red car or speeding black car?

hahaha yeah this bumper costs a pretty penny. quality really is excellent, the body shop guy said it's the best fiberglass front he has seen.

Thanks Joe! you are right, looks like i'll be going with the pearl. Not %100 sure yet but it looks like he can really hook me up. If he sticks to the price he gave me i'm gonna go with a blue pearl :cool:

It's required here too, but I don't use one. Most cops don't bother you for it, unless they pull you over for something else.

I just put it back on recently because I was starting to get nervous everytime I passed a cop. I only waited so long because I was too lazy to ziptie the mofo to my grill.

I got one. I sent it in not guilty, and they dropped the case. They don't have time to bring everyone in to court for something as small as no license plate. If not, just tell them you just put the bumper on and you bought the license plate holder, but it's on back order.

The OEM color available on the Mazda RX-8. Winning Blue Metallic. There's one celica here painted with it (Nu Concept's), and I've been in love with the color ever since. I've also seen the color at the auto show, and it's always grabbed my attention.

I want an OEM color because it'd be easier and cheaper to fix up nicks and scratches myself, as opposed to a mega $$$ HOK paint job.

Fabian, try PIAA 510. They cost me $150 new shipped to my door, via ebay. They fit like a glove and look as close to the TRD fogs as you're going to find. Same yellow/purple effect.
