View Full Version : Question about the Rattle TSB
I was wondering who's had their dealer go through and do all the fixes for the various rattles and how much of a noticeable difference this has made?

I took mine to the dealer complaining about vibrations caused by the stereo's bass. You know what they told me? That the stereo was too powerful and there was nothing they could do about it!
:bs:
I got rid of 99% of the rattles myself. I just took off all the interior panels (minus the dash) and headliner, and stuck foam all over the back sides of them. The only rattle I have now is coming from somewhere behind the headliner. Not sure where, since I've got foam covering everything up there.

wow thats pretty cool chris... do you think that using dynamat would serve the purpose or insulating, removing rattles, and creating a better sound environment doubly?

I took my car in for rattles, with TSB's in hand. Basically he told me i must be experiencing the TSB in order for them to fix it, not all the rattles i had. I had one in my dash area, and they said my intake caused it (bs, im taking it back in a few days). Also, a rear panel below my speaker vibrates on 0 bass with any type of music with bass, and they told me its "distortion from the bass". So, if you have the TSB's, they'll most likely fix the problem if you are experiencing it.
hey they are going to fix it even if i'm not experiencing it... i'll just take it to the dealer that i nearly took to court over their employee's stealing 900 dollars of stuff from my car :) hehe they give me **** i call corporate and file another complaint against them.

As far as how much of a difference, specifically i got my door handle rattle 'fixed' and yet it still rattles with heavy bass (not nearly as bad as before, but still its a pain in the ass).
