Does it mean that they cannot access the bolt circled in red in the first picture here?... http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=158009

Fukers at NTB (after buying a 3 year alignment warranty) aligned my car with Sportlines 3 times and then I took it in to have it aligned after installing Tein S Techs and they told me it was too low.

The guy said it was because I had it lowered and that I would have to buy links from him, blah blah blah.

I know he's lying, but I want to call him out so I need to know why he wouldn't be able to adjust the camber.

Thanks.

The Sportlines may be too low to properly adjust the camber, since they have one of the largest drops out there next to coilovers.

Yeah, but they were able to adjust the camber within specs with the sportlines, but now aren't able to with the S Techs.

They have to be bullsh|tting, right?

Also, why aren't they able to adjust the camber with sportlines? Not doubting you because I know it's true for some, but do you know "technically" why they are not able to?

I want to walk in there acting like I know what I'm talking about. :gap:

They have to be bullsh|tting, right? If they could do it with your Sportlines, then yes. Also, why aren't they able to adjust the camber with sportlines? Not doubting you because I know it's true for some, but do you know "technically" why they are not able to?The springs drop too far, and the stock camber adjustments can't compensate for that to bring the suspension back to stock settings. When the rear suspension compresses, it adds camber, and when you drop the car, it also compresses the suspension.

So what about a car that is dropped 1.75 inches?? They should be able to get it all back within specs, right?

My car is has no tire gap in the rear and has correct alignment settings with the stock hardware.

Depends on the car. Some have trouble aligning with just Tein S-Techs, while others can use Eibach Sportlines with no problems.

The springs drop too far, and the stock camber adjustments can't compensate for that to bring the suspension back to stock settings. When the rear suspension compresses, it adds camber, and when you drop the car, it also compresses the suspension.

So then I assume that the aftermarket camber links are longer and allow the camber to be adjusted further than the stock ones allow?

Well, this place did it with sportlines, and then couldn't do it with the Teins on.
