I just ordered all my stuff for my new system, and I have 2 more days to cancel the order through the shop, so let me know if there's anything I should change about this. All is Pioneer unless otherwise noted:

DEH-P8400MP Headunit
2 TS-W3041C 12" subs
All necessary speakers (models not necessary)
3 or 4 GM-X962 760 watt amps (1 or 2 for subs, 2 for speakers)
This is where I need a couple opinions, should I put the two subs on seperate amps, or just put both on one?
Digital Capacitator (forgot the brand) This is one thing I can change for a while to come. Any brand preferences?

That's about it for parts. I'm still designing the layout in my trunk. Everything is going to be custom installed in a box(es).

The only thing that I already got (it came in yesterday) is the headunit. My car is spending the night in the shop right now because I'm painting my dash silver to match the unit. My car is carbon blue and I'm probably going to paint the rest of the dash black later on.

Anyway, post any opinions you guys have about the system.

I like the hu, never was too crazy about pioneer speakers tho. I did get a chance to listen to a set of their new component 6.5". They sounded pretty damn good actually.
Not to be mean or anything, but I always thought their subs sucked. If you'd like my opinion, I'd cancel the subs and go with a different type. You didn't mention what you are paying for teh subs, but I'm betting you can find a deal on a MUCH better set of subs for around what you are going to pay for the pioneers.
You didnt mention what kind of wiring you are getting. Get good quality stuff, it seriously helps cut down on the noise. I had to find out the hard way w/ my last car.

I'm definitely going with the best wiring...

I'm trying to go for show right now, and I think it looks better when everything matches in a car. I hate seeing 5 brands in the same car. Overall, I think that Alpine and Pioneer give the best performance, and I can get Pioneer for half the price of Alpine...that's why I'm going with their subs even though I know they're not the best.

And no, I didn't buy my stuff at Best Buy. I'd never shop there or Circuit City just because of my experiences when I worked there. If you want to see boxes of speakers thrown around and against walls, get a job there.

$3,000 for everything...

It's a great deal compared to what other places have given me. Everywhere else they have me in between 3800 and 4600 to do the same system
