Ok this is my problem. I just replaced my Rear lower control arms put everything back on everyings tightend down. when ever my rearend hits a bump or some thing esmi hard. theres a loud noise. it sounds like metel on metal. I've looked at everything and taken everything off the car or tightend evrything down that i could think of and it won't go away. I really need some other opinions. now i think it maybee the rear hatch has anyone had this problem??? :AF: :AF: :AF: :AF: :AF: :AF: :AF:

Try unbolting an endlink and see if the noise comes back. Also, try tightening the center nut on the strut again. They tend to come loose and cause knocking noises.

^^^Yes, I have had problems like you are experiencing and the only thing I could come up with on my car is the hatch as well even though in reality I don't think that is it, but I have checked the car over and over and over and I cannot figure out what else it could be.

Try putting a pair of socks over the hatch bumpers (black squares next to the weather stripping behind the tails) and see if the noise goes away. They can rub against each other and make noise. :moved:

It's attached to your sway bar. Yank your wheels on one side and you'll see thin gray bars with round ends. Remove them (use a hex key and wrench), try driving, and see if the noise goes away. Be aware that your handling will be compromised without them installed (sway bars are basically incapacitated).

Yeah let us know what happens! Oh and by the way if you are tightening the top strut nut in the rear without having someone hold the shaft to keep it from spinning then you are effectively doing nothing except spinning the shaft. Also, be careful about spinning the shaft on the strut because you can actually ruin some internal parts of the strut by doing this and thereby rendering the strut useless. Trust me, I have seen people do this.

you know I don't think i had any problem when i didn't have my sway bar connected. I'll try it as soon as i get back to my base. i hope it works thanks for all the insight
