So they decided to go with my warranty after I already bought everything to fix it. Motor, Clutch/Flywheel ( aftermarket). Well then they decided to re-emberse me for the engine and the aftermarket parts I put it in also. The old motor is going back to toyota.
Keep in mind that Toyota originally said no, so I went and obught all these parts. Then they called me yesturday to say they were. I told them they need to pay for the parts I already bought and they agreed.

So I am getting all this for free:
NEW motor
NEW tranny
NEW clutch/flywheel
All new drive pretty much, direct from Toyota. BRAND NEW.

Spare Motor with only 20K miles
Fidenzza Flywheel
ACT racing clutch.

So I guess its working out for me.

Hypothetically, let's say that instead of Toyota covering those parts, that your dad decided to cover them.

Would your topic then be "Lucky for me, my dad takes it in the a$$"?

I'm just wondering where you draw the line between good service, and "taking in the ..."

so they gave you new engine for free?
wow~ when i misshifted they tried to fix my engine and they did a poor job on it eventhough i gave them more than 10 times to fix my car. Good job!

Just make sure they don't give you a NEW ECU also. Unless you wanted a lower fuel cut.
