I have the TEIN BD's and the optimal setting recommended by TEIN for our Celicas is only 1.36 front and 1.42 rear lowering. Anything lower and the struts are gonna turd out real quicklike especially if you use California funded freeways everyday.

You should really consider the type of roads you normally drive on, and even the ones that are out of your area. If ya ask me a spring/shock combo may be the better way to go and many springs come in a 2" drop. I really love the way I can feel a nicely paved road with my teins and they have a nice response, don't get me wrong, however most of the time the roads outside of my area are really jacked and the driving out there becomes a little unpleasent. Sure 700 is cheap for a decent coilover but is it really worth it if you wear them out prematurely?

well thats what im trying to find..a good coilover and shock set that wont wear out prematurely, i want something the i know can go really low just incase i go to a show and slam it..but when i drive around i'd raise it back up. just dont know which would go low enough..*on stock gts rims 205/50/16*
thanks madden

Maybe Ground Controls (http://www.ground-control.com/application_guide.htm) then?

not lowering spring shocks but coilover shocks somthing that the sleeve can mount on.

No standalone struts can drop past 1.5" safely.
