i have tein basic coilovers and hit some hairy bumps in the past (enough to bend my rims) i recently got an alignment and everything is in spec except for the right side caster, it is 1.5 degree above spec. the guy said that something is bent, most likely the control arm. i know what camber and toe is but what exactly is caster? is there anything i can buy to adjust it?
edit: i figured out what caster is from http://www.familycar.com/alignment.htm
i think im in the market for a control arm

Yep, as far as I know you cannot adjust caster on our cars.

So what would have to be done to get the caster changed back to normal spec?
Is it really to replace the control arm? if so, what's an estimate for the cost?
I also have tein basics and crashed the front end 2 years ago.

Its not exactly an adjustment kit. I've had these for years. Its a set of offset bushings that go in the rear control arm position. It pushes the mounting position there outwards which has the effect of increasing caster. There is typically some slop there, so to get the maximum caster, you pull the control arm as far outwards as you can before tightening everything down.

um...so what would i need to lower my caster? It's been getting a little higher and higher every year and this time my front right is a full 3 degrees. I want it to go down much lower. The first time I did alignment with my tein basics it was 2.2.

^ I'll check for you in a little bit. Depends if Cookie wants to hang out today or tomorrow haha.
Edit: but generally you should stay away from used control arms, those could be bent also (and plus I see rust, which might mean structural integrity flaws). Even bends/damage on a microscopic scale could seriously impair your car's handling and alignment settings.
