Ok I need the assistance of someone that really knows what they are doing with suspension upgrades. Ok as some of you know I recently purchased a set of TRD coilovers and installed them around last Christmas, if my memory serves me correctly. After the install the car handled beautifully with these things on but then I broke a Hotchkis endlink so I took those off along with the sway and put the stock sways back on as accurately as possible. Next, I had the driver's side front TRD strut blow on me so I removed it and sent it back in which they gave me a replacement. I put on the replacement the same day I got it in but I was in a hurry as I had to do this before class. Ok well I seriously got to thinking about what I could have done wrong that day and it finally dawned on me. When I replaced the front drivers side strut I only had that one corner of the car up in the air when I disconnected everything (the endlink and strut assembly). Now if I am thinking correctly, and someone please correct me if I am wrong, but would this not preload the sway more toward the passenger side of the car since technically when doing this kind of work you should at least have the whole front end up in the air. If my thinking is correct and I continued to install the strut then proceed with an alignment with this preloaded or moved swaybar then that would be bad. Would this not cause the car to handle bad and erratically? Someone please advise me here. Maybe this has been my problem all along, plus the bad alignment and tire balance job. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance.
Oh and one last thing, if I am correct on my assumption, then how would one remedy the situation and what kind of things should I check out to make sure everything is still good to go. Thanks.
