yea..i like them. i think i'm going to buy the black duro ones...(the cf with the 'x' reinforcement on back)..basically the same, just the 'X' and a pound or two lighter. i already bought my recaro sliders & side mount brackets.. they're just waiting on the seats

seats are seats... i think, as long as they have a shell (not just stupid springs for back support) i'd consider them a bucket seat.

yeah...but the difference between seats is comfort, reclinability, and lighteness.
in the case of these seats..its about lightness. for example, the stock seat weighs around 40 pounds (maybe a little more), a sparco torino weighs somewhere around 45 pounds, these netami seats weigh about 15 pounds...although they do not recline (you can buy a reclining bracket though) and they probably aren't too comfortable. thats a given anytime you buy a race seat

definately. i fell in love with the recaro spa (the recaro version of the netami seats)...the difference is that the recaro's spa msrp is $2,700 (cheapest i could find one for is $1,800). for that price, i could buy three of the netami duro cf seats. if i had the money i'd buy the recaro's in a heartbeat, but i have a few other things that i'm doing right now and i simply can't afford to.
the recaro spa's are also around 8 pounds are so...they're an awesome seat. the bride gias are my favorite reclining seats..my GUESS would be somewhere around 25-30 lbs though
get it.. post pictures and let us know how it is. Those are nice, but depending on the qualit of the cloth used and threading, I might actually buy 1

hmm... well i was actually wonder three things:
first, whats the qualitiy of these products. I mean, in the picture the CF weave is perfect and the seat looks really nice, but is it the same story for all of their seats?
also, some people say a seat is just a seat, obviously theres difference in comfort etc. but what about the difference in like street safety. Which seats are actually street-able?
last, where would you get brackets and sliders for these things?

1. i personally don't know..i'll probably be the one to find out though. from what i hear, they do a pretty good job.
2. theres no reason it wouldn't be streetable (or race-able for that matter). its a solid contruction made of carbon fiber...hard to go wrong there. everyone knows the strength of carbon fiber and having a solid 1-piece construction only makes the seat more rigid...safer than just about any reclining seat.
3. you use sparco or recaro sliders/brackets. i bought recaro brackets/sliders. keep in mind that on 1-piece bucket seats you will need to purchase side mount brackets as well (if it was a reclining seat you wouldn't need these..unless you had the bride gias which uses a low position even with the reclining capability)

ok, well i got outbid on the volks (didn't really need them anyway so i'm not going to rebid--i already have some volk ce28n's) so i'm not going to rebid.
looks like i'm going to be buying a couple of these things so i'll let you know what kind of quality they are. i e-mailed the guy..its actually cheaper to buy from his site because of shipping charges (it's only $40 shipping from his non-ebay site, his ebay store, even WITH the 10% shipping discount, is still $90). just a headsup if you purchase as well.
