First, I am new to the list so forgive me if many of you have discussed this before.

As most have heard, Toyota stops production on both the Celica and the Spider in 2005. I queried a local dealer/mechanic on the matter and he said the word given was that sales for both models were considered too low and that being in the

Yes this has been discussed many times....but to answer your question:
Toyota USA will stop importing both the Celica and the MR-S from Japan this year, however, they will continue to be sold in other countries. Unfortunately, those goofy, hideously looking cars are the latest style and trend over in Japan. There were rumors of a hybrid MR-S in testing but i wont believe anything until i see it. The Volta is just a concept car. a lotta times concepts cars arent mass produced. they're just showing off what they're capable of at that time, and toyota is looking mighty fine in the Hybrid/Electric cars area.
