So, here's the deal. I hit a pothole going only about 10mph, and didn't think anything of it. 5-6 miles later my front driver's side tire is flat, in which I immediately pulled over and replaced. My question is, should I attempt to have the flat fixed? I'm concerned about the long-term reliabiltiy as I don't want a repeat occurence. It's either that or fork out an extra $150 for another Bridgestone Potenza RE750...

I would fork out the money. That is just what i would do anyways. I think you might be able to have the State pay for the tire. I know in PA when the roads are not well maintained which is like all the time, if something happens to your car that is a direct result of poor road maintnance they will sometimes pay for the damage to your car. Why are u paying taxes if they arent even going to take care of the roads. Good luck with that if you pursue that road. If not just do thatever is best.

Mark, how big is the hole? Is it a gash or something similar?
My guess is that it's a useless tire since you said it went flat in a matter of minutes. If it was a slow leak, you could fix it and it will never bother you again. That's been my experience with it.

U mean, that Discount Tire will offer you Lifetime Road Hazard Warranty even if you buy the tires from another dealer? I'm sure that the tire has to be new and inspected by them, right?
Or, I think U mean, that they will match the price. Which is it?

Alright, thanks for the input guys, I ended up buying a new tire for $167 shipped from tirerack.com.
I am currently in the process of obtaining potential reimbursement from the state. I'll let you know in a few months/years how it all turned out...
