I just ordered ADR GT Sport 17's, I need to know what will fill the fender well area. The dealer suggested 205/40 or 215/40, I need to know which will look better and give the fender well a more filled look. I am open to suggestions, I need to order the tires tomorrow, so any quick feedback is appreciated. Oh, yeah! I don't have my celi. lowered, it is still riding on stock springs.

The 215/40 is bigger in width and diameter than the 205/40, so I'd say it will fill better...that's what I'd pick...it's also closer to oem in rolling circumference (just a bit smaller).

The 215's will fit better but if you dont lower it the gap will still be pretty big.

Should I go with a 215/45 17, will these fill the gap more. Will it rub, and will it look better or equal to the stock wheel gap.

of course 215/45 will fill the gap more...it is a bigger tire, is it not?
it's bigger than oem, so the gap should be less.

215/45/17 will fill the gap better than 215/40/17
I have 215/45/17 with a TRD drop and it fills it nicely. Since you're not dropped there will still be a noticeable gap but not as much as a 215/40/17 tire. It will not rub.

Also, going with a slightly wider tire will offer you a bit more rim protection. You did not mention what width your wheels are..
17x7? 17x7.5?
for a 7" wide I would go with the 215 .. 205 is just barely big enough to wrap around the rim, makes it look like a donut. 7.5 wheels a 225 will look nice also.
Hope that helps.
as for the wheel gap, a 17" wheel with a 45 series tire is taller than the stock rolling diamater, If you don't minding losing a few hp for reduced fender gap. check out this site, it has a cool calculator on it and tells you how much your speedo will be off by using a certain tire size as compared to your stock tires.

Getting a different size tire to reduce the fender gap is not the best way to go about it. Get the best tire for your money and try to keep the stock diameter. Then spend 250 on some springs. In the long run you'll save since an odd size tire will be more expensive.
And don't forget with a larger diameter you'll also raise the ride height of the car making it look silly.
Just my opinion.

oh btw.. tell me what you think of those wheels when you get them. Those were one of my 3 choices with wheels for the summer.
just out of curiousity... what color of rim did you get?
silver? hyper silver? white? .......?
