Did anyone actually try out some massive sway bars to see what happened on course? The Hotchkis Sways are on sale over at Titan....I'm getting a little itchy to try em out.

I'm really interested in that thing from Whiteline that adjusts the rear roll center.

For the track, if you want a bigger bar, go with http://www.sanerperffab.com . They can custom make anything you want. For autocross, a slightly softer bar than stock is probably the way to go, yet I'm not sure if anyone is willing to spend the money on that yet. - Aaron

I'm getting the front Hotchkis bar installed now since the engine cradle was removed to fix my blown engine.
I was very happy with just the Hotchkis rear and stack front bars. I may end up disconnecting the stiff front hotchkis bar for autox.

i have both front and back along with the tiens... the car runs very very neutral... at hard (super hard) cornering, theres a bit of understeer... the front is set at the lower setting. The car is also lowered a bit more (4mm) in the front than in the back increasing the effective rate a bit... the teins are set at 10s on the front and 8s on the back...

Scapamouche, keep us informed after you get that front bar in there.
(Never) GTS Laid..... how's your wheel spin? Noticibly worse than with stock front bar?
Either way I think I'm going to order the street set. Between the stock bars, the ST rear and Hotchkis bars, that gives me 6 difference combinations to play with.

I'm raring at the bit! I may have the car back by Sunday, more likely Monday.
That gives me a week to break the engine in and get an alignment before the track day at Buttonwillow next Sat; and the NASAX on Sunday :)

Wow.....better get to working on that new 1000 mile break in! That's only 3-4 hours of driving a day....haha

The only parts replaced were the valves and valve guides, so I don't expect a full 1000 mile break in. We'll see.

No doubt.
On Friday, they said maybe today (Sunday) and probably Monday.
Today, they said "oh, we don't have all the parts for the tranny yet, we'll know tomorrow"
This is the first time they've been this way on my car. I am now worried.

Hi there everyone,
Jesse IL, we've finally released teh rear roll couple adjusting kit, you can read more about it via the fitting instruction sheet here http://www.whiteline.com.au/fittingsheets.htm, refer part number KCA364. We've also signed off on the front caster/anti-lift kit with instruction also posted on the table, refer KCA369.
Hope its not too late but we just found this message.
Cheers

Jim.. do you have a better picture of the front strut bar.. Don and I have having a hard time figuring out how the bar is SUPPOSED to fit on the Celica..
BTW: the swaybars work great.. you REALLY have to make sure the bars are PERFECTLY straight however.. they tend to hit the control arm if they are slightly off.

G'day Jeff,
We do have a better picture of the KSB522 front strut brace but I don't see a means by which to attach one to this reply.
If you'd like to contact me directly I'll send you some copies of various ones we have. Apart from that, I've just learnt from our R & D guys that there are some potential issues with clearance to the brake reservoir cap on left hand drive models. Let us know if you're familiar with that.
As for the swaybar shapes, are we talking about Celica front, rear or both?
Cheers

I just installed my rear TRD Sway Bar (Red) last nite, which is adjustable(two holes). I haven't driven it yet but will let you know.
The front is super heavy! I am not installing the front.
Very cool cherry red color which should make me faster(I wish!).

I finally drove the car this morning and "what a difference!"
I took some familiar corners(meijers parking lot) and around town and then some(200 miles today).
The inside wheel is planted now in the corners without wheelspin and the rear end rotates much better since I stiffened the front end this spring with a control arm and brace.
My slalom and quick lane changes feel faster and more responsive with less roll! (Even more Go Cart Like!)
No more Nascar Push!!!
I installed the softer position.
When I have some free time, I would like to install the front and set the rear full stiff and see what happens! Has anyone done this?
I can't wait til Sundays race!

front swaybars.. they have a slight curve and you need to use the stock mounting brackets if you are going to use the yellow urethane bushings. -- the bar is too thick for the bushings and bracket to fit around..
I found that if I play with the bar for an hour, I can get it perfectly centred (if you don't, you get banging sounds between the swaybar and the control arms when you hit a bump)

I guess my rear strut tower brace and TRD sway bar worked!
I beat all 40 entrants in my class(STS) Detroit region vs Ohio region event.
270 cars in total at the event! We were the last heat and they cut it down to 3 runs for our last heat since there were so many cars in STS! This is my birthday present to me!!

It should be real fun!

By the way, You can see some weekend pics if you go to my website, on www.rc31.com/celica/
If you want to see all of them. Go to the link AACC.com(ann arbor car club) on the site.
Then go to car talks and you will find the pics.
You can see my bars in action!
