Tein S-techs give you a 1.4" drop all around.

Is there a write up/install guide anywhere, for installing lowering springs?
not any that I know of that are very specific. Download the service manual off this site and use the suspension instructions that are in that. I used them and it worked great. Just don't remove the bolt from the lower suspension arm to take out the rear shocks. That's unnecessary.

I just installed these yesterday. I think they have dropped more than 1.4 inches. They look great. Now i just need to get some KYB AGX's to combat the slight bouncing.

Maniac...you may also need the hotchkis rear links to correct the rear camber

No, you don't need the hotchkis camber links. With the S-tech's drop, you can adjust the rear camber back to factory specs with the stock hardware.

correct, although when I got my alignment done they had to install camber bolts to bring it back to spec.

i also have tein s-tech with a 17" rim, but i haven't align the car yet because i don't feel that needs one, should i take the car to align it anyway??
I would think you should. Just because you can't feel it doesn't mean that it's alright. You could have your tires wearing slowly on the inside or something, but you couldn't feel it. Besides, it's good to have it done every year or so depending on what kind of roads you drive on.

why lower it then? i say go with trd... the drop looks almost nonexistent especially to the untrained eye. hotchkis is a lil more noticable than trd.. but still not really compared to the rest

I ahve the hotchkis drop and it is pretty noticeable compared to stock.......I think the rear is what gives it away because it is so damn high in stock form

TRD is def ur best bet for the smallest amount of drop
