What is supposed to be next to the window lock button?

I just bought my used '00 GTS, and I've noticed that there is a space for some sort of button or something next to the window lock button to the left of the steering wheel. I also just saw a pic of another celica with what looked like some sort of red button in that space. What goes there? Am I missing something or is it an option?

If it was a small red button it was probably the factory alarm, but my alarm button is to the lower left of the dash. I put my TRD foglight switch into the one that your talking about.

yeah next to the window lock button is for the factory alarm system its on my car

Ummm, ok. Is that the valet switch or what? It a little obvious.

It's not a switch or anything. It is a flashing light that lets theives know that the car is protected by an alarm system and a little speaker that detects noise.
