So my car is at toyota due to a 2nd gear grind. Everything should be covered under warranty, so i was pretty happy. However, I havent had my car since tuesday morning and i'm getting bored being at home all day. Is toyota supposed to give you a rental for the time being? btw i have the certifed used vehicle warranty and the extra care warranty.

Toyota isn't Lexus...especially on a used car...
Your car insurance may have a rental program however...

i just checked my insurance policy. It only reinburses you if you hand an accident or something similar. that sucks.

It depends on the Dealership.

Did you even ask for a loaner car or are you expecting for them to give it to you. At all the dealerships I've ever dealt with, I've had to ask for a loaner.

well, i just called and they said that if they dont have the car by tomorrow that they will give me a rental up to 35 dollars a day. i guess i'll give them another call tomorrow morning.
btw, my car's in the dealership b/c my 2nd syncro's is messed up. Would you guys expect them to change the whole transmission? I heard that they do that sometimes.

I think it depends on the dealership and also you have to ask for it, I would throw in the part about it being under warranty. Dealership in our area gives a loaner to anyone whos covered under factory warranty for free for however long you want it as long as you fill the gas back up to where you got in.

if your under 25 make sure you have your parents drive it back. I had the car rented under my mom's name because im only 24. When i went to go return the car they charged me 30 dollars a day b/c i was underage.

here they said you have to be 21 so i am taking my mom today to pick it up but thanks i will make sure she returns it also then. They are getting it from enterprise rent a car.

Exactly correct. One more reason to buy a Lexus. :D
