depends on what you have to spend and the quality of sound you are looking for. IMO though, the GT-S stockers aren't horrible unless their blown.

i'm guessing you didn't read that...
I ended up spending 250 retail on a set of 4x6.5's... I got employee discount on those though so of course it was a lot cheaper than that.
Good luck with the back speakers, they're a bish

i spent pretty close to that with a friends discount, but i put in infinity kappa perfects, you could get away with just doing your fronts for around $100 with infinity references or something similar, you can get even cheaper, or you could just go the easiest route and post in the want to buy ads for a front speaker which you would just plug in in place of your blown one. Which one is blown? if you look at the front speakers (assuming you have the premium sound system like most GT-S's), theres two. i'll dig around in my garage and see if i can come up with mine.

You can spend as little or as much as you want!!! Install prices will vary, unless you do them yourself. Around $200, will get you a decent component set for the front. The sky is the limit as far as speakers go!

well i cut the rivets out of mine. just use a cutter and chew away at it. I made the holes bigger in the rear and put it 6x9's and a set of 6.5 in the front with a set of tweeters. they are all infinity speakers and the whole thing ended up costing me about 300 bucks + 0 dollars labor...cuz i did it

Yeap, drill them out. I say spend more $$$on the fronts and dont use the rear or as rear fill only. The rears tend to pull the soundstage back too far if not toned down.
