dead in here??

Well, i have not had my car for almost 2 weeks... i usually have a story or two. One other thing though, i have really cut back on my street racing. I don't want this to sound bad, but i ran a 12.7 on my pump gas settings in street trim so there just seems to be very little of intrest to race around here. There are a few guys, but i know almost all of them.

this is the best time of year to race. not as many cops, and cooler weather makes the car run a bit faster. :D

Actually I beg to differ with the guy who said there aren't as many cops. I have noticed an increase in cops reason being they get bonuses for meeting a certain quota of tickets they write.

I think you can blame the absence of stories on a few factors...
1. Already stated was the fact that it is winter..I don't know what this has to do with anything because I live in Texas now so this is when the TX boys should be posting their stories. Just because we don't have winter..lol..it was 71 degrees today..gettin chilly..:D

2. A lot of people on here are in college, such as myself, and there are finals and lots of projects due pretty soon.

3. I don't know this for sure so don't flame, but a lot of people post some pretty unbelievable stories (which maybe true or may not) but the people posting these stories might have gotten fed up with others flaming their stories just because they have read every Road & Track as well as Motortrend magazines and they KNOW that there is no possible way for Celica GT's could be so fast..even with good drivers...
I noticed in a lot of stories people have started out by saying "if you dont believe this thats fine" or something of the sort..almost as if they had to prove their experience they are trying to share with you to some of these experts...lol..

as a resident of texas, the main reason I dont race during the winter is cuz of da slick roads cuz of da rain. If it wasnt for da rain, itd be perfect because da weather is cool and crisp and engines run better in that weather... grr stupid rain slicken roads!

another reason hit my head.. i guess it gets tiring posting over and over again how many civics you beat etc etc etc.. Very rarely now do I encounter a car I havent beaten already.. hell i have more fun getting beaten now cuz its a challenge later :)

Jeezus Nathan...That is an awsome time time...12.3. Too bad you drive a sedan (lol)...Maybe you can race my Supra TT in the spring (I am going cross country in it), it should be BPU++ by then, I hope to have it on the road in febuary (can't afford the insurance on that plus my Celica). No you guys need to start picking on the RSX.

I have been having some fun with the guys over at clubrsx... they don't take it so well, but its good for hits on the site.

I would post more stories of races if I had the chance to race. But my cars been in the shop the last two weeks, so it makes it kinda hard. I prolly wont get it this week either. They had to order a Gear puller since the GTS has a special one which they did not have. ::sigh:: no friggin ETA on it! grrr.. sorry /rant.

Man if I had a 12 sec sleeper, the fun would never stop! Yeah you know you're gonna win, but just to see them drive away in embarassment, or come up to you shocked and curious would make it worthwhile.
