I know someone posted an answer about this a long time ago, but I've forgotten what it was. I'm starting to get waterspots on my sunroof and am hesitant to use some of my regular polishes to take it out. Has anyone found a good reliable product to use to clean this up without causing hazing or other damage to the sunroof? Any help is much appreciated. :)

I use griots garage plastic polish. It is made for plastic windows for converts, but it works good on the polymer window in the sunroof. You can get it at www.griotsgarage.com

I once used meguiers plastic polish (it comes in a small white plastic spray bottle) and it worked very well. It did not harm or haze my sunroof.

Really? Damn, I have some of that stuff in my garage! Mmm.. maybe I'll go test a small corner of the panel and see how it does. ;) Thanks for the tip.

why can't you use windex?
but if you take it to the car wash, don't they clean put windex on it?

Windex would clean fantastic if you just had a dirty sunroof, provided you used a cotton cloth and/or something that wouldnt be abrasive to the soft plexiglas window. The plastic polishes are kind of a after the fact fix, after youve used something that you know you shouldnt have.

What do you do when your sunroof is already hazed over!!?!?!

If your sunroof is already hazed over, You'll need a rubbing/polishing compound, preferably an orbital buffer, or a ton of elbow grease and patience. Then when the scratches/hazing are mostly gone and the surface is nice and smooth, Meguiar's Plast-X. My sunroof was barely translucent when I got the car now it's pretty much like new

if it is bad then use 1500 grit and lightly wet sand the entire sunroof. don't sand the rubber/foam surround though. wash and dry. then move to 3M polishing compound. I use 3m polishing compound every other month and it looks fine.
