definition for these terms?

can someone define these for me.. I have a clue what they mean but not really sure.

WOT, Slalom, Skid Pad, and others i can't really think of right now, but as soon as i do i'll post 'em up

oh yea, feel free to add some words that a newbie like myself wouldn't know about

WOT= wide open throttle
slalom= a handling test, a bunch of cones in a straight line with a measured amount of space between them. you have to zig zag through them in the shortest amount of time.
skid pad= a test to see how many g's a car can pull before it loses traction.
