use the search, its your friend.
But as i have nothing else to do until this storm destroys all of okc,
intake- tpr, aem or injen (in that order) or BB mod on an ebay version
Exh- tpr, trd tsrm(titanium)
header (singular)- port the stock one as it makes as much or more gains than any aftermarket one
fuel management - pfc
theres your first $1.5k

sell it and buy a 6 spd if you want to go fast. I know it sounds drastic but its seriously the best way to do it for the money. Either that or a trans swap. Otherwise stick to appearence mods and suspension.
sell it if you want power. You will need a new car if its power gains you want. On the other hand, the celica has awesome handling and with some suspensions mods you can do wonders at the autocross.

How much would it cost approximately to do a trans swap?

celicas aren't renown for their "blistering speed," their key attributes are their good looks, tight handling, and light body..play the car's strengths...don't go pissing away all your money when you are most likely not going to get the result you are looking for...thats just imho..peace

yep after almost 5 years of owning my 7th gen. celica, i agree that our car's are not the best if u want power gains.. at most from basic n/a parts.. u will gain ~15hp...and thats after spending ~2,000 on it.. (i/h/e / powerfc)

maybe a bit more than 15...though the celica is still a helluva car in my opiniion

alas the auto is slow but if you want to make it fast you can always turbo. Not sure if they hae anything chipwise to manage an auto but maybe you can emanage it. Otherwise its not worth spending the money. If it makes you feel any better im not even willing to spend money on my 6 speed gts except comfort and appearance and even then Im just making it like toyota sould have

Ok, I don't mean to thread jack, but since you guys talked about it I don't wanna waste space by making a new thread. I also have a Auto. Now, I've asked around other forums, which i've gotten more flames than any help. I kinda like the Auto for now, just cause its convenient for school and things like that, but thinking about switching to manual after college. The responses i've gotten are that its not possible because of certain brackets and fittings blah blah blah. Anyway, so to switch to manual, obviously you need the tranny, the pedal, a new ECU. Is there anything else? I've heard something about needing a new radiator (bigger one)

^^ best off gettin a whole front clip of M/T gt-s. cause you gonna pay some good $$ to do the swap. radiator should be te same far as I know.
