Vote Wright Now

David Wright is one of the Mets' brightest stars this season, hitting .293 with 19 multi-hit games. Five of his ten home runs have either tied the game or given the Mets a lead. There's no doubt that David is a Mets All-Star in the making.

But why wait for the future, when we can make him an All-Star today?

In just two easy steps, you can lift David past his competition and send him to the 2005 All-Star Game with a landslide victory.

How, you ask?

Every Mets fan reading this e-mail needs to do two things:
Click the VOTE link below, and fill out three All-Star ballots listing David Wright as the NL Third Baseman.

1) VOTE NOW for David Wright

Haha, yup. Sorry, I'm not online during the weekends. I voted 5 times, haha. I voted for all the Mets, except 2B, because I can't stand Matsui. I'd take Cairo over him any day of the week. I hope Wright makes the team, he's definitely my fav player out of the lot, followed by Meinketwicz (sp?), and Reyes (when he doesn't strike out). :D

I seem to recall Wright costing the METS AT LEAST 4 games this year with his shoddy glovework in late innings. At this rate, he might be better off in the AL as a DH. His glove is as useless as Michael Jackson's at times

It's his second year in the major leagues, not even if you think about it. He's still young, hell younger than me, he's got plenty of time to iron out the details.

Oh and think about how many games he saved for the Mets too. There's not a player in this league who hasn't blown a game for their team at some point in the season. It happens, its unpredictable, it's baseball.

:werd: He's been one of their most consistent hitters in the clutch. I agree about his shotty defense at times, but the pluses by far outweight the minuses.

Oh no, dont get me wrong, I love Pedro. He is the heart of the team IMO. When he's on the mound, they play 100x better. I was at the Astros/Mets game where he had a no hitter up until the 7th. The best game I've ever been to. I just didn't mention him because he's not an everyday player, but I still have love for him. :)

I like menkeitwicz or however you spell it, because I've always been a fan of defense. It's always overlooked by the majority because people dig the longball. But he can also hit, when he's not slumping. He already has a grand salm for the year, but that's not my point. I love his glove, I think he was a smart investment, and I'd take him over Delgado anyday. I'm now glad that deal never went through.

I like Mienkiwitz? but miss the days of Olerud. He was defense, he was a good hitter. They miss that. He was a good compliment to the rest of the players. As exciting as the Mets are to watch, they are still what, 2 games under .500. They need something, I don't know. . .

Ah yes, John Olerud. I was always a fan of him, damn I miss that guy. You're right, he was the complete package. They're missing a lot this year, something I dunno, hitting? Sometimes the team can swing, and sometimes they've been getting shut out by garbage teams. And they're bullpen, for the most part, pisses me off to no end. If I have to watch Zambrano lose another game I'm going to go nuts.
