I went to that Tucson meet in may and I just got back from going to Cali today and both times my transmission light came on. I was going kinda fast but i dont think it should come on so easy. Does this happen to everyone with an auto? I am trying to find a transmission cooler kit and cant find one for the celica??? anyone know where i can get one??? Its bugging me now especially since my check engine light is on now.

Transmission light??? :wtf:???

wuts up with ur bak wheel?

A pretty extreme case of negative camber from an excessive drop!! Dude you need to remedy that negative camber issue in the rear or you are going to severely shorten the life of your suspension components.

Quoted from Repair Manual Volume 1:

"When the ATF temperature is too high or too low, the M position indicator light flashes. If this happens, shift the lever to D position and and shift it back to the M position after the ATF temperature increase or decrease. If the M position indicator light is still flashing, check if DTC P0710 is displayed or not and check the transmission shift main circuit."

Regardless, get any CEL codes pulled because your ATF temperature sensor could be shot, and that will trigger a CEL among other things.

Also, check the ATF level by pulling the dipstick (don't they have a seperate dipstick for the ATF?).

yea the camber is bad in the back but doesnt waste my tires cause the back is real light but the autos have a A/T OIL TEMP light that comes on when the tranny gets hot. My car was in D and not in M mode and the M didnt flash so thats not it.

my car is barely a year old shouldnt be the sensor or fluid

Why not check the fluid level to be safe?

Takes less than 5 mins.

This is for a gts auto and i just got back from toyota and they are going to have my car for 2 weeks they said they are going to start replacing parts till it is fixed cause they never had that problem before. So they are going to give me a rental car. Not bad. Its all covered under the warranty so thats good.

hey mygtscelica1.
did the toyota dealership get back to your celica and tell you what the problem was?
i have the exact same problem with my 2000 gts auto. when i drive for over an hour with more than 3k rpm constant... the AT/OilTemp light turns on...

anyway... hope you got the answer.
