so today at the height of my brilliancy, i had the idea of putting a bean bag in my cube. this would allow me to lounge after lunch or whenever i feel tired.

i started looking & man, they are expensive. i set a budget of $40. with that much i can get a small foam pillow. a medium sized bag is $80+. a decent size where i'd feel comfortable in is $130+ :AF: i'm shocked.

anyone have a better idea?

goto kmart or sears and get a assload of pillows. i remember like a year ago sears had 2 pillows for $5. so lets say u get like 16 of them ... u'll be passin out in like 5 min after lunch.

and where the hell do you work that lets you lounge in your cube after lunch?!?!?!?!? hook me up with a job

i'll keep a watch on pillow sales. not a bad idea.

it's almost impossible to work after lunch; especially with greasy food.

i think a rest would definitely make me more productive.

I used to have a cheap one and after a while the beans exploded all over my room. It was like snow.

Me too. But it has nothing to do with my company in my case. My workload is really light because my clients aren't as "big" as some of my fellow co-workers. :D

I'm in Vh1 Ad Sales as an assistant. I have to maintain all of my bosses accounts.

And yep, I graduated Hofstra last May. I just past the 1 year mark at MTV, 2 weeks ago. :applaud:

Long. I would have to become a planner first, which takes anywhere from 2-3 years. They also prefer if you leave the company, join the buying side, and then come back to MTV. But who's to say they will take you back for sure when you leave? They like that because that way you get to see the industry from both sides. Once you become a planner, it could take another 4 years to become an account executive (my boss), depending on how hard you work, your knowledge, how well you're liked, timing, and some luck. One planner from my dept left to become an account exec at MTV Puerto Rico just recently, his position was filled within 3 weeks by someone from the buying side.
