yea it seems that the more you rev the Celica the more oil it eats. IF you drive your car hard I suggest that you get your oil changed every 3000miles.

that's normal if u rev your car towards redline a lot. I use mobile 1 synthetic too. It might have something to do with the cam switch since that works on changes in oil pressure.

I was under the impression that it is very bad to burn synthetic oils. That is one of the main reasons why you don't use them in rotary engines.

It is normal for a car's engine to burn a little bit of oil. If your dipstick still shows the half mark, then you've only lost about a half quart of oil. This amount of oil in 4000 miles is well within the normal range, I wouldn't worry about it at all. Actually, my GT-S was down about the same amount when I checked it today. This is after 5000 km (about 3000 miles) since I filled it, a fair number of those miles having been "enthusiastic". I'm also using Mobil 1, by the way, so it seems our two GT-S's are showing pretty much the same behaviour, which is good. I agree though that 3000 mile oil change intervals are probably good if you're driving it hard..

I'm glad to hear some good feedback,
I don't think my oil is leaking because I swaped filter area with paper towel, and it was very dry..
Also i heard if your oil is leaking while drving.. u might want to check your rear bumper if there is any oil on the rear bumper..
I guess everything is fine since I street race at least 3 times a day..
