1. I'm installing 3 gauges (oil temp, oil pressure, water temp), all of which will have to have wires passing through the firewall.
Will they fit through the rubber grommet near the steering wheel or should I drill a hole in the firewall?

2. As for mounting, I am going to either drill three holes in the center console door near the clock and mount them there, or remove the door and mount them inside of the hole.

As for the drilling method, how big should the holes be? I bought the 2 1/16 gauges. Should the hole be the same size as the gauge so it slides in, but is stopped by the outer trim?

Is the 2 1/16 measurement the size of the gauge's outer trim, or the smaller longer area of the gauge?

3. Once the holes are drilled, how are the gauges then supported from the back side so they don't fall into the holes?

4. If I remove the door and mount them without drilling and just set them in there, will a pod fit in there or should I secure them another way?

Thanks in advance.

A 2" hole saw will create a perfect hole for the gauge. 3. Rubber bands, but they'd fall out of the holes, not into them.

Whoops, my fault.

So the rubber bands that come on the back of the gauges in the box will securely hold them?
