what would win in a race a manual GTS or a manual IS 300?

Whichever car has a better driver. They're pretty close in straightline performance.

video: http://subzero.mine.nu/celica/drags.mpg That's not a 5 speed VVT-i 2JZ-GE 3.0L 215hp IS300, that's a 6 speed Dual VVT-i 3S-GE 2.0L 207hp Altezza RS200. It's slower than our IS300 (But look at the redline in the video, that'd be fun :)).

yeah i saw the redline and was like 'wtf' at first :D

but as for the USDM IS300, numerous guys have raced stock IS300 autos and spanked them without a problem. even with a manual tranny, they'd be hard pressed to tie a GTS. hell, i've heard of well driven Si(s) whupping up on auto IS300s by at least 3-4 carlengths.

i guess the IS300 manual is a what? low 15 second car stock? not bad, but the GTS has potential to be a little faster.
