i like server rooms...now i can go on the net and do more things while this thing updates! too bad i can't play games on it...not enough of a vid card. oh wells atleast i got privacy! :applaud:

pretty much all the posts i've been making were from a small little room at work where we keep our really big computer servers. the server (a computer) has internet access which i'm using to go online. this little room is cool cuz it's like my own little private office that no one else is allowed in.

my dad had one at his old job. it was cool, like you're in charge of the matrix network or something

then he took our old busted up noisy air conditioner and stuck it in that server room cause it was under the stairs lol.

aren't server rooms supposed to have AC since the computer needs AC?

i think for the huge giant ones they do, but the one i was cruising in was a storage closet with 2 computers, and a like 3 24port switches mounted on the walls

we don't have much in this room, but an A/C was definitely needed. you may not feel it get hot in the room, but once the door is closed and the a/c is off, after about 10 hours it gets pretty damn hot in here. and like all computer components...they don't resist very well to warm temperatures. a/c makes computers happy :gap:
