What color calipers on what color car? What did you use? How did you do it? I'm thinking about doing it end of may eary june. I was thinking either red or black on a silver gts. Thoughts?

I have a Silver GT and did yellow calipers, I used yellow becuase I have yellow graphics that came on the car, for color it really depends on what you want it to look like,
I used brake caliper paint that I found at pepboys it just sprays on, you can also get caliper paint in Super street or SCC magazines it's expensive but it includes a cleaner and everything.

Black Celica with painted red calipers, used Brake caliper paint from MGracing.an and brushed them on with a paint brush... very nice and glossy, still shiny after 2 years of hard driving :)

I used metallic black Rustoleum paint on my spec blue's calipers. Haven't had any chipping, peeling, or fading problems. I used primer before I put the actual paint on.

I don't think you really need to primer it... I didn't primer mine and for 2 years so far no chipping and still shiny...

I was at autozone this evening to check out the options. They had some 1200deg paint in a few colors, but it didn't say whether it came out shiney or matte. Anyone have a specific brand or anything?

I bought the folia tec caliper kit the other day. I'll let you know how it turns out.

If it would ever warm up in this God forsaken place.

Good news.. it warmed up a bit so I did it over the weekend. I managed to do 2 coats on Saturday and another on Sunday.

Included in the kit:
-brake cleaner
-hardender
-laquer(paint)

You mix the hardener (1 part) and paint (3 parts) then paint it on with a brush. Right now it's drying and looks real glossy. I am happy with the outcome.

Do you think 3 coats is enough? Anyone else here do multiple coats?

I painted mine black.

hmmm, i thought about black, then all i have to do is add a gloss to the engine bay plastics to keep the black theme rolling...
