I'll hopefully be buying some 5zigen fn01r-c's soon but I don't have much for tires and I don't want to buy high performance expensive tires I won't use to its full potential yet since I'm still not underway with performance stuff.
So what I want are some decent tires for a good price but not some really cheap turd which will screech too easily.

well its not the amount but its the amount I will work for.
I mean I'm not good with tires and I don't know what to get. I don't want to pay more than $80/tire I guess.

Edge racing has toyo t1-s, and t1-r for 102 a piece, or you can get the proxes 4 for 78 a piece, thats what I want to get. :)

i still have stock rims, but i replaced the tires not long ago with bridgestone postenzas....they come stock on the S2000 (my uncle's car) and have pretty good wet and dry handling capabilities as well as pretty long life

how are the Falken Ziex Ze 512 compared to the Toyo Proxes Fz4?

well You dont want the fz4, you need the proxes 4 which are high performance tires. I would say get the 4's if you dont plan on going on the track or beating on your car on a daily basis, because they last longer than the t1-s, it depends though.
t1-s= better performance, but wear faster.
4's= better wear, but they dont like to be over heated, similar performance to the t1-s
So it depends on how hard you want to push the car, and how soon you want to change your tires again.

I don't plan to take this car to the track since I dont have any performance mods yet these wheels will be my first major change.
How about the Falken Ziex Ze512? any opinions?

What size are you looking to get?
I just ordered a set of FK451 since it's only $2 more expensive than the 512.

All I know is that I am hopefully getting 17x8 wheels. I don't know what size I should be getting.

Falken Azenis RT 615 or bfg gforce kdw. TI-R, but nobody any where wants to try them or there isn't any feedback other than they are better than the T1-S.
I've read from some Evo forums that the Fuzion tire is one of the best for the money.
The people saying that have a great tire to begin with makes me wonder on the facts and good luck finding that info. Gone.

i have the Falken Azenis tires..they are great tires..very sticky and great in the rain..and is one of the quietiest tires which is one of the reasons i bought them. And treadware of 360 which is on a 225/40/18 size tire.

Sounds like you got the ST115.

those rt-615's and bfg kdw's are both great tires.. leaning more towards performance. but the rt615's have a treadwear rating of like 200 so they wont last long at all. remember theres like 3 different kinds of azenis.. theres also an azenis sport which also has a low treadwear rating of like 200 something.. then theres azenis st115's or something like that.. not as aggressive looking, those probably have the 360 ish treadwear.
the bfg kdw, i think they have a treadwear somewhere less then 300, maybe about 280 or a lil less, i can't remember. im talking about the really aggressive looking ones that look like flames or something.. theres another older kdw tho with a treadwear of like 400.. i dunno how they are tho.
i recently bought the bfg sport ta's there treadwear is over 300.. i think 340 .. im very happy with them.. i've owned nitto neogen's and nitto 555's, and i like these sport ta's a lot better. they have great dry traction, and are pretty good in wet conditions as well, more than i can say about nitto's non existent wet traction.

I have the BFG KDWs and they great. Very sticky and I love the tread. A little noisey though, which I have no problem with.

I'm running FUZION ZR-Is they were like 80 somthing a peice fo 215/45/17's. I got em from Tire rack (http://www.tirerack.com) . They are the best tire for the price. I love em. I know a few other people with them too and they all like em. If you have a little more to spend go with the Bfgoodrich T/A KDW.

I think I'm gonna go for just decent tires because I'll be at college and I'm leaving the celica behind. I'll only be driving it once or twice a month so I'm just gonna get some tires which will last me until I start driving the car regularly again which might be a year or two.
