I am installing my Viper 791xv and I ran into the starter grind problem.
I read on www.the12volt.com that you need to wire a relay on the 2nd ignition wire.
2) There is a tech note that says you must five wire the ignition wire. Connect the 1st ignition output from the remote start to the second ignition in the car (thick blue/red). For the 1st ignition wire (black/orange), wire a relay as follows:
87: Ignition 2 output of remote start
86: Jump a small wire from 87 to 86
85: Ground
Cut the black/orange 1st ignition wire
87a: key side of cars black/orange ignition wire
30: other side of black/orange wire
This is what I got from that site, now my question is, do I need to wire Another relay, or is there a way around this, because I know that the Satelite box that comes with the 791 already has like 6 relays inside of it.
Basically I am trying to get rid of the starter grind problem.
