For all you full Smoked Taillight Freaks who have been buggin' me for a kit like this! The v10 is a full Smoke Tint Kit, combined with my v6 Kit. The top and inner pieces will color match your car, while the Smoke Overlay will cover the remaining area. It took me a while to perfect the kit because of the corners and weird angles. There is a 1/8th gap between the top piece and the smoke overlay. Reason being is I wanted to create a kit that would be relatively easy to install without the hassle of using a blow dryer or X-acto knife to flatten the wrinkles out. It actually looks good because the gap is minimal and consistant throughout, hardly noticable at all. I tested the Kit in the dark with the lights on, and no light passes through the gap at all! Also, you will NOT need to remove your taillights to install my kits:).
My v9 Kit covers just the amber part, and now that I have Red Tint, you can get it in that finish and redout your ambers! Enjoy!

Very nice.. so I can order the v9 kit in red.. and it will only cover the amber part with red vinyl.. and then order the v10 kit and I will have redded out, smoked taillights? Or is that overkill on the vinyl? (I'd still like my taillights to shine through :D)

yeah, how would the "smoked" kit look with the clear red vinyl. would this make em look redded out, or would it not match up right on the top to the bottom.

Bat, you should make a one piece kit that covers the ENTIRE stock tail light (except hte reverse light) that is made of clear red, to perform an even red out. like that guy in the for sale forum that sells the vinyl pieces did (b0x i think?). so there is no "line" where the red piece goes on. unless its not very noticeable.

Someone posted that they had just applied red vinyl to the amber part, and said it looked alright. There's a line there anyways...that separates the amber from the red area of the taillight. I don't see a real need to do a one piece kit that covers the entire tail in red vinyl when the top portion of the taillight is red anyways. I guess I 'll wait and see if anyone orders the v9 kit in red, to see what it looks like. I'm keeping the v10 on for awhile, I really like it:).

I haven't really looked at 4b's taillights. I assume the entire light is red, top and side as well? If that's the case, I don't see why not. You will however, need to trim the pieces alittle where they overlap, otherwise you'll get a shadow effect. Shouldn't be a problem at all if you go that route. Let me know...

Hey Bat.. what's the diff btw the v10 and v9?

v9 has overlay on the amber part of the taillight. You can get it in smoked or red. Prices are at the top of my post. The v10 is a combination with my v6 kit which has a color match overlay on top and the inner sides of the taillight, with smoke tint over the rest. Some peeps have inquired about different finish combinations. That shouldn't be a problem.

I was looking to get my tailights almost completely black like the RX-7 tailights but still have the red shine through. Will this kit be able to do that or is it just going to look a little bit darker. If i can't get it black like that then i'll probably just want to red out my tailights.

You can double up on the Smoke Tint to make it darker. Email me.

what would it look look like if you redded out the turn signal and then put two of your smoke kits on like you suggested to me in your email bat, would the lights come through, or would it be too dim for people behind you to see.

if you have problems shining throuh the vinyl with the stock bulbs, LED 1156's will probably wrk better

hey is there a picture of the red vinyl that covers the amber part? what would that look like? it'd basically look like clonegts's painted tail light right?

Don't know... Someone posted that all they did was cover the amber part. Personally, I don't really see a need to cover the entire taillight if all you are just trying to do is redout the amber part. Hopefully, the person that did just this, will post their pics.

i would use b0x's kind of red vinyl and cover the top part of the APC altezza lights, so its red/clear. but having heard of fitment/leaking problems im not gonna get them. i would try them on the yangsoon tails though... but again no money.

Bat,
I would like to get just my orange turning lights to become the same "red" as my brake lights. I think that would be the V9 kit right? No smoke, just same matching red all around the taillight. Like 1ZZFE's car http://www3.telus.net/bobo/Picture%20256.jpg
Can you confirm this?

Bat, have you created an APC ALTEZZA smoke kit? I thought I had seen somewhere that you had. By the way, I posted feedback on ya in the Buyers/Sellers forum.

So bat, i talked to you about getting the redded out tail lights AND teh smoke vinyl. Do u think that the v9 kit will make the turn signal part slightly raised? LIke, there might be a hairline bump all the way across on the taillight. I think i might just paint the amber if that will be the case, but i'm a bit lazy so i'd rather use the v9 kit if it can work. OR i could possibly use both the v10 red and smoke kit right? I just want the whole tail light all red and all smoked... What u think? I'd like to save money where possible...
