I traded my 01 Celica GT in with 67K miles on it. I never did any of those checkups. I had the oil changed every 3-4K miles and the car always ran perfect. IMNSHO, it it is a waste of money. The only thing I did was clean my TRD air filter every 15K miles.

Is there a procedure written up anywhere for how to change the transmission oil? I've never done it on a FWD car before and it looks like a completely different beast from the rear mounted transaxle I last worked on.
Any transmission oil recommendations? I have some Mobil 1 75W-90 synthetic left over from the other car.

NOOoOo..! lol. Go to the maintenance section of this forum. it shows you how to change and the type of fluid to use, I believe its called Redline MT-90.
for GTS.
-Check the plugs
-Intake filter
-Oil
-Trans fluid
-Check the brake, power str. fluid etc..

Great, thanks. The Mobil 1 is for the Porsche... guess I'll be saving that for the next change 55K miles from now. Thanks for the links - I didn't notice the maintenance section of the site before. What's the torque on the filler and drain bolts?
I had planned on doing the coolant too since that's been in there for 5 years now. Brake fluid is new due to the master cylinder recall this spring. Oil, filter, air filter, and rotating the tires I had planned on.
edit: ok good, just like the other car but at the front instead of the rear. And less allen head bolts.
