I turn my car on and I hear something abnormal. Gosh I hope its nothing too bad or expensive. You have to listen for it, its not too loud, but it kinda sounds like two pool balls in hitting eachother :ugh: . Maybe 3 times a second I hear it..Its definitly coming from the engine bay, but I cant figure out where  . It is an Automatic, but I do drive it in manual mode quite often, because im good at it.
Now I do only have about 1,000 miles left until I hit 30,000 miles which is when I need to bring it in for my 30,000 mile check up. Maybe that will fix it.
Have any of yall had this problem before? I dont know what is is..Thank you.

Does the sound increase or sound faster when you rev the engine?

Now that I think about it, the sound of pool balls hitting together (faintly) resembles the normal sound of the engine with the injectors and valve chatter and all.

Yea, its a little louder then normal though. I know what your talking about ^^. Yea that faint noise is normal on our engines. But the noise that Im hearing is louder, you can actually hear it over everything else.

you might want to check the fan and make sure its not rubbing, something similar to this happened to me and that was the problem which was very easy to fix. but who knows, it culd b more complicated. good luck

That doesn't mean you have enough oil in the engine. They could have underfilled it or, worse stripped the drain plug or crossthreaded it and your oil leaked out. Check it just to make sure.
