So here's a piece of advice. Dont go 85 in a 35 on a two lane road, crossing the double yellow line to pass people in a national park.
So I'm having fun with the DTM guys. Flying around corners with a spotter, until we passed this one Kia. That goes ok then about 5 minutes later, a Park Ranger (Yeah like right out of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) stops the whole string of us. Probably about 12 guys. The Ranger takes our licences and we have to pull off the side at the next rest area. So, to make a long story short, the bitch in the Kia pulls up and fingers three people. Ben (Red Lightning), JD (Mercedes SLK 32 AMG, damn fine car) and one other guy (in a white 318). They get improper driving (or something like like that, $50 fine and it's not even reported). The rest of us got warnings. Dude, we all should have got reckless. The funny thing is that I was right between the Lightning and the Mercedes and that bitch didn't finger me at all. Whole thing took about two hours. The funny thing is that Jim was with us like 2 minutes before it all went down. He got off on 211 right before we got pulled over.
So lesson learned. When flying through a national park passing people over the double yellow lines, watch out for Kia's. I think it was probably car envy.

You're right, that was in a parking area where everyone was parked head in. But for those who weren't there we can pretend and they'll be none the wiser.

Whew -- do I know when to duck out or what? I was just driving leisurely but sped up when everyone caught up to me. I went home 211 because it was quicker. (A lot quicker apparently ;) ).
Sorry to hear about that Jake, but it was still fun. I'd rather push my truck like that when it isn't all wet and rainy out though. I felt like I was holding up all the BMW guys. Oh well.
Nice pictures too. Where/when do they post the videos?

Check out www.dtmpower.net
In the upper left of the main page there will be links to videos etc. (these are the ones that are nicely edited and put to music, expect large files) Also check the MD/VA/DC section of their forums for other pics and unedited videos.

What did you guys think of his M? I have never seen it up close in person, just in passing rush hour traffic going the other way. Just the numerous pics that everyone has taken. IMO it's a nice car and he has put a lot of $$ and time into it but I think that he get's the "larryd treatment." Meaning anything and everything he does all the followers with no minds of their own think is the best ever and god. Everything I have ever read about Dado or the M3 has been good. He likes to have just as much fun as the next guy while still being honorable and respectful of others and their rides. Since I know you guys a little better than the people over there what were your impressions?

Truthfully, I didn't like it that much. It's a little over done. The rear bumper is a little off, and I dont like the spoiler much at all. It looks nice, just not my cup of tea. Especially with a M3.

Not a fan of the spoiler either. I would rather see the small stock one that some of the M's got. I also don't like the dual (lip and arch) spoiler that the white w/ motorsport banners M3 has. (I don't know if he was there or not) They say that it is the spoiler used in the racing series but to me it looks like a ricer that had a stock one and just bolted the other on top. Functional, I don't know? I guess my tastes are pretty plain. :(
